too bad they only used 2 local contractors to help build the thing. they pretty much locked out any non-union company. I hope they have not lost sight of where the people work and live that will be using the new facility. Maybe all the out of town union workers, architects and general contractors will come back and have surgery or new babies here. maybe the nurse's should get a union going and see how it works out. I wish I could be happier for them but I had close friends that were let go from there because they didn't agree with the politics of the leaders out there.

Did ya see the pic on the cover of the Star Courier with the new hospital's first baby? Wasn't that exciting?!? proud hispanic babydaddy and the unmarried caucasian babymomma. Maybe they work hard and pay thier own way, I don't know. But if not, I think they should hafta write thank you notes to us taxpayors.
