LOLOL recreation. The people ran away from Bacot Park because of gunshots being fired over @ Belville & surrounding ghetto areas. Not because there's a "lack of recreation activities."

I used to live in the South Gautier area about 20 years ago & even back then it was rough. But back then it was a shipyard/working class mixed black-white-Vietnamese community.

Now its a 90% black area where most of the blacks aren't blue collar(though many are). Its a 'trash' area & the people left Bacot because cars were burglarized & idiots were walking around with pitbulls & gangs stirring up crap.

Add in the gunshots & its no wonder everybody is moving north to Hickory Hills or the county....

And now you have improved your life by relocting to Moss Point? Things will get better now that Walmart is coming.Still do not understand where it will go at the mall.

I don't live in Moss Point. I don't know why it says I do, I guess that's where it picks up the signal or something.

I'd rather live in Gautier though, than Moss Pt. But that's not saying much.

I don't get it either. Its only going to take money away from the Walmarts in Pascagoula & Ocean Springs. They're over-saturating the market. Jerry Lee's & 1 or more of the dollar stores will probably go out of business for this.

Also dunno about the mall either -- its gonna be interesting. Part of the appeal of both the malls in Gulfport & D'Iberville is that they're right off the interstate. People see them when they travel by.

People don't really see Singing River off the interstate so I'm not sure what new demographic they're planning. I doubt once the "new" effect wears off in a month or 2 that Singing River as an outdoor mall will become a mecca. I prefer the indoor mall myself. At least in there when it rains it doesn't affect me.

I guess they're hoping the people in Jackson Co. who go elsewhere now....will stay here instead? I don't understand who they intend to market too, it isn't like there are more people they're not targeting. People just don't like coming here.
