The Moss Point Board of Aldermen this week told county comptroller Josh Eldridge that they would make a decision soon about who will represent the city in its effort to seek forgiveness of $4.5 million for a Community Disaster Loan.

I don't live in Moss Point so its not my fight but I hate the concept of hiring "fixers" & then paying 1 or 2 people instead of getting the Feds to just forgive the loan. At this point it doesn't really matter because the Federal Reserve is "buying" almost 100% of all treasury bonds that cover the deficit so basically we're printing "monopoly money" or toilet-paper money or Zimbabwe money or whatever term you wanna use to pay for this but still.
And the fact Brett's brother thinks he can use his good ol' boy connections -- yea not sitting right with me either. Or the other guy. These guys want 6%-- that's going to be over 200k dollars to get this loan written off. While cheaper for the city giving good ole' boys six figure pay offs to make things "disappear" is appalling. And they wonder why they say this state is the ass crack of the nation....
