Being a long time resident of Gautier, I well remember the Creosote Plant. The area around it was once the center of town, with Ziegler's Grocery Store, the U. S. Post Office, run by Inez Wilkerson, and a number of families living in the company houses just across the tracks from the plant itself. It was interesting to watch the conductor on the trains passing through, reach out and snatch the mail bag, off the structure built there for that purpose, and toss off the incoming mail.

I am looking for any photographs of the Gautier, Mississippi old L&N Creosote plant prior to 1984. Am currently trying to model this facility on my HO scale train layout.
