The City of Gautier has adopted the theme "Nature's Playground". Dean Mosher, renowned artist in Fairhope, Alabama has been commissioned to construct a 45 ft tall copper sculpture, with fountain and topped with 4 ft diameter lighted stained glass globe. It will have and 18 ft alligator, fish, turtles, frog, crane in flight, butterfly, crab, cattails, reeds, and dragonfly. It will sit atop a dome of river rocks, in the center of a "round-about" on Dolphin St. between Singing River Mall and Lowes, in downtown Gautier. Unveiling is March 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM.

The "Nature's Playground" Sculpture has been installed and is completed. You can see it at the north end of Dolphin Drive in the traffic roundabout between Singing River Mall and Lowe's Store, just one block north of Hwy 90. It is a grand sight.(Especially at night, when the Globe that sits atop it is lighted, and the surrounding spotlights and fountain are on.) Come see it !
