They are all dumb for serving the public and putting up with dumb stuff like this.

This is such a ridiculous survey. Insider had it right..our elected officials sure put up with a lot of petty B.S. for stepping up to the plate and trying to help our citizens out. I started watching this a couple of weeks ago and it is obvious that there are just a couple of petty disgruntled individuals that participate in this stupid survey. They are so filled with hate and dont have a clue what it is like to walk in our elected officials shoes. Our aldermen are intelligent, all are raising families, and most of all they care about people and we are darn lucky they invest their time and energy into serving the public instead of wasting their lives like the couple of people who come up with junk like this. You set a bad example and it usually shows up in the way your kids act. You probably have a messed up kid or two and unfortunately they have you as a parent. Can't be a decision maker and have the guts to take a stand like our board members do without making somebody mad along the way. It's sad to know some who have had their feelings hurt cant get on with life without trying to get even. Pathetic really.

I see now why no one with any professional ability wants to get involved in local politics. Who wants to listen to Jane Beaugez.

According to the IP logon info supplied by a Topix webmaster the votes cast in this survey are coming from about 6 people. Some have the same IP address that was used in prior threads on other topics where they actually identified themselves!! Over 200 times this handful of people (one of which is a former elected official in Jackson County and one a former city employee!) have come on here over and over again to play this silly game. Sort of sad isn't it? Scary might be a better word..lol

I used to be a hacker. I am mostly just interested in html code and web content management now. As for how to find out where the Topix posts originate that's easy. email me at biloximike60@yahoo.com for instructions or if you want to learn how.

Nope, I'm for real and I agree with the results. Fatt Matt McDonnell is dumber than a bag of hammers. He just gave the Armory away to a charity which has only been in existence since Oct of '08 and on the word of the owner who said it was part of the YMCA. A quick call to the YMCA director affirmed this was a lie; Fatt Matt and the others who voted for this never even picked up the phone!
In addition, in '03 Fatt Matt REFUSED to put sidewalks on the Shearwater Bridge even though people walk and run there daily...baby carriges, birdwatchers. We paid $750,000 to a bunch of consultants who said, put in sidewalks, but, hey, Fatt Matt doesn't live there and so who cares?

I agree. If it's true he doesn't need to be an alderman.

Naw, that guy you are referring to is Denehie and he is NOT a racist. McButthole and the Mayor had him kicked off the Planning Commission because Denahie stood his ground and stuck up for the citizens who did not want more bars and giant, tall condos in their neighborhoods. McButthole LOVES to put in bars everywhere, same as Connie, but nobody wants their daughter to walk by a bar on her way home from school, and some bars here play music that would be classified as torture.

I sat in a Planning Commission meeting and saw Denehie vote against a condo project McButthole supported. I don't know if I'm voting for Denehie, or that Bill Lucas guy, or that new guy (can't remember his name) but Denehie is NOT a racist, I know his son, he worked at Phoenicia Gourmet with a lot of black folks, ask them.

More of McButthole's attempts to keep his seat and keep a bar for drunken white people in every neighborhood, same as our Mayor.

Tom, these are very strong accusations by YOU about someone else. I'm willing to be you don't even know Doug. Wish he was running for mayor myself.(You make statements about someone and don't even know his name). Ugh on you.

I read an e-mail that he sent concerning racist remarks towards Jewish people, blacks and other ethnic classes. Not very smart for a person trying to run for public office. There are other people that also received this e-mail from Denehie.

I have also heard that he sent that e-mail to a list of local people. I was told by an alderman that no one voted to keep him on the planning board. I wonder if the os record knows of this e-mail? There is no place for racism or prejudice in public service.

Copy and paste the e-mail and the address it came from, it's super-easy to do & we can see for ourselves!

I mean, if you read it, post it here.
