Its past time to phase out the school district & merge it with the county. I'm going to say what most probably know but are afraid to say & that's that usually when you have local govts or school districts heavily run by blacks they stack the staff 'top heavy' full of friends & family. So & so principal gets his niece a job at another school as a secretary & the people on top @ the school board. They get their other relatives who otherwise couldn't get on into maintenance positions & they end up swelling payroll higher than what it should be & what it would be in other cities.

Most of the payout is basically to keep the staff happy with high salaries. If they have a brand new school built with FEMA money why the hell do they need all these insane security measures. Buzzer locks on doors, prison-like security systems, none of that sh*t is free, or cheap. The taxpayers in Moss Point pay for all that.

They have a brand new 20 million dollar school they don't need & that they're probably not going to use for very long. I read the article in the paper where the school district said that the school district is losing about 4% of its students per year, at least over the past decade. Its going to be too small to even justify keeping it as its own district in another decade or so. They're going to have to merge it with the county.

Basically the Moss Pt. School District is just a public employment program for the people who run the district to keep their top-heavy administration open. There was an article yesterday in the Miss. Press talking about how even though they just built this new school they're closing like 2 or 3 schools in the district this year. They don't have enough kids left thanks to outflow from Katrina & other factors to justify keeping this spending going.

And now they need a millage increase? For what? Because the overpaid teachers want a higher salary & more benefits?

Cut em off, lay off the top-heavy administration & merge it with the Jackson County schools. That way the kids will have access to more resources, better funded schools & may actually have a shot @ fixing that mess of a district.
