How do we get that list because if it is private company to private company the it would hard to access.I agree this would answer a lot of questions an open many doors. But how other than news articles that have been publish do we do it? You are correct in your post it goes thru Walker/Maxwell on many things such as nobid contracts, realestate purchases, grants from DMR to other organizations and many others.Time for the people to take control away from the crooks.

The Walker/Maxwell connections are so deep and possibly a main root to this evil. If the FBI is looking at Walker/Maxwell they should be able to obtain records of who they are dealing with. We have learned of an engineering company that has been named in previous articles. Someone needs to start looking at this. The list of elected individuals and friends of the Walkers could surprise even more of us. All stones should be turned over to get to the whole story.

Robbie Maxwell is the Mayor of Pascagoula and partner of the Walker/Maxwell Consulting Group. They have lets say been "very active" since the BP oil spill. There has been talk of many contracts that needed DMR approval going thru them. Also they were the ones that negotiated the $250,000. fee paid by IP to Billy Walkers Foundation to get a needed DMR permit as reported in the Sunherald last week.No telling what else will rise to the surface once pressure is applied.

This consulting firm is a key part of this story. If the Sun Herald is going to keep up the heat, this is where they need to go next. The amount of people involved and the money that has been diverted to them by the access they provided to DMR will tell many stories that are yet to be told. Public officials that have helped Walker/Maxwell should be nervous.

Anyone with a connection to W/M will be under the micro-scope by the Feds whether they or a politician or private citizen. This firm an its priciples are radioactive.Scott Walker is a lightning rod. They will not have a choice but to divulge all they know.I hear Maxwell already has. This is why he is not running for re-election they say.

Wasn't Waste Pro the one that Connie "bailed out" by vetoing the bill?

And Walker's associated with them? I thought that Walker & Moran were political rivals?

Gulf you are confused. Walker and Maxwell is W/M and had nothing to do with the City garbage contract.Moran did veto because of all of the confusion about who was offering what.Good thing she did because the City got the best price along with the best company. This might be the only expense the taxpayer/residents will see reduced this year.Thank you Mayor.

We have knowledge of elected officials getting jobs and their daughter/friends and neighbors getting jobs. We have knowledge of family and friends selling their land at inflated prices. We have knowledge of the son who sold his influence with his daddy to the highest bidder. We have knowledge of a shell game to shift tax dollars to a bogus foundation that could reward family and friends. We know this to be true. What else can we do to shed more light on this sleezy scam?
Here's what I would like to know: how did Scottie boy get out of the DUI? Is Cecil Byrd part of these cronies? Also how did baby Walker get out of beating up the Wicker staffer in Washington DC? According to legitimate sources, he paid over $200K for a Fox News legal analyst and PI to represent him and get the charges dismissed. Something doesn't add up. Who paid for all of these expenses???

I guess the funny thing about this is they all sold for taxes and had to be redeemed. Why the low valuations? In that location it must be wetlands or drainage areas is all I can come up with.I am taking the PIDNs and plotting them out to make sure this is not another scam on the taxpayers

After looking at those, that HAS to be a clerical error!!! Shearwater is primo real estate in OS. That tax valuation is CRAZY LOW!

Going to the land maps, it appears the property is tidelands, HOWEVER, adjacent property that is also tidelands, is owned by City of OS with a higher value, of 50-120 thousand dollars

The East Beach property DMR bought parcel # 60132220.000 does not come up on Delta Computer Systems website for Jaxco Properties.

Connections to the contracts -- yes it is likely that an elected official on several councils "ran interference" to line up the votes for Scottie's clients. Check out the county jail engineering/architect contract which was changed after ten years; look at the contract awarded to Thompson Engineering for the drainage project on Ocean Springs Front Beach, who beat out the engineering company who did the initial conceptual design (this was also funded by CIAP funds through DMR). Also the links to BKI Engineering that the county wanted to use for the Government Street Improvement project for construction oversight (project still under design, and BKI fired W/M later). And don't forget the BP fencing project in front of the marshes in Harrison and Jackson counties. And other contractor "hopefuls" for BP work that were highly "encouraged" to sign on Maxwell/Walker for the $5000/month retainer to improve their chances for work through DMR. What's the connection to Cotton Fore and his $74 million contract to haul in dirt for the Port of Gulfport? And who was conducting these projects and payoffs/rewards at the state level with the federal and private Katrina funds? The Big Kahuna himself. Glad the current Guv isn't putting up with it.

Yes you could also go to the various utility authorities in each county and ask why they were forced to use a certain company to do engineering for new water and sewer. Came from Jackson as a "You Will Use" or no money will be sent. This is why you have infrastructure like a new sewage treatment facility on Old Hyway 49 north of Hyway 53 in Harrison County that has only 1 customer, the bathroom at the operations office on site. This was built to accomadate a development called Riverhills which has never been built. The property is owned by an Islamic Bank in Switzerland controlled by the royal family of an oil rich nation in the Middle East who happened to be represented by a certain lobbyist in Washington.Almost $50 million spent on that one project that has no customers. This is real not fiction all at the taxpayers expense. Then you could ask why was one company put in place to control everything from skimmer boats to manpower for the oil spill cleanup. This also came down from Jackson along with the company. Many small concerns like myself could not get even a small part of it while people/companies came from all over the country to make money and it all went thru one company. And now this same company has the right connections in place with the current people in power to do the same thing with Restore Act money.Something must change.

Who are these elected officials that you speak of? I live in Ocean Springs and want to make sure that the public knows who was leading the charge for Walker/Maxwell. These people don't need to be in positions of authority any longer

The company that controlled the oil spill cleanup was U.S.Environmental Services.
