True about Scrabble Creek don't know about Brownsville - but most likely both are in the snake worship. Don't think my heavenly father wants us to go in that direction. A snake brought on all the evil of this world in the first place with Eve and I don't think HE wants us to worship in that way. But that is their choice. As for me if a snake came in the front door I'd be making me a back door really fast! The people attending these churches are not the upright citizens anyway. Most are uneducated and live off welfare. But each their own. I attend church - going in alive and coming out alive - otherwise I stay out. One only learns how to be stupid when one handles a deadly snake. It only shows me how unintelligent people are - lack of smartness!! Love to know what God is thinking when He looks down and sees people that are supposed to worship him but instead worship those crawly animals. It doesn't take much brain power to hold, swing and kiss those snakes - but it does take a lot of nerve. Maybe that is what it is all about - showing everyone their strenth in nerves. Lets see where their nerves take them in the end. Maybe there is a place in heaven for them - a reserved room - "Snakers go here and others go there in My special room".

Mark 16:15 He said to them,“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

I think that is taken out of context.I know what Jesus said, but I do not think that is what he meant. Just saying.

So what do you think Jesus really meant to say?And what part do you think is out of context?

It is like to me that they are worshiping the snakes instead of Jesus the way they handle and dance w/them.

Only about one person out of 2500 bitten by venomous snakes in the US dies, so it may take guts by the average person but it's not a real risk. It is painful to be bitten, and sometimes disfiguring, but if it makes them happy and brings them to God, what the heck. I know people who go to church high because they say they can feel the presence of God better, good Christians other wise.

It is a risk if the one taking the risk gets bit and leaves planet earth. And it does bring them to God if they die that is and if they have repented of their sins before hand.

I have been a member of one of the Scrabble Creek churches and a formal member of the Brownsville church and neither one of them handle snakes. If you do not believe come to church and find out. It seems that some of you on this sight need the Lord more than most. All this gossip on these sights are a sin. This sight is suppose to help communities not to destroy them. When the Lord comes it will not be to soon.

I am not gossiping,I asked a question about the church's. I have the Lord and I know I am saved. And why are you not a member of the one at Brownsvile now. I find it strange that a Christian leaves their church for another when you are a member. Also you are judging in the book of Matthew ch7-v1 Judge not that ye be judged. I agree that Jesus coming is not to far off!

I was talking about topix in general being a gossip page and I wasn't talking about your post. I realize you just asked a question? I just didn't like some of the answers you got. They were not truthful. And to answer your question about leaving Brownsville, that is between me and God, not everyone on this gossip sight.

Your right there,I was just wondering maybe the church there was having trouble's keeping members.I know there is a lot of this group or that group feeling they are better than other's in alot of churches.I mean if your not in our click there is difference's the way people are treated. And I think it is sad, because there is not to be respect of persons.

John 2: 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

"Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph." (Amos 5:14-15) How can you hate the evil and love the good if you refuse to judge? You can't. You are SINNING when you refuse to judge.
