Keep Away from Westgate... worst vacation we have ever had in all the years we have gone to Gatlinburg.

My Wife and I were there over Thanksgiving and had nice weather and friendly staff and a nice 1 bedroom cabin on the top of the mountain.

We have been there 6 times in the last 2 years and plan to go back many more times.

I used to work there and I am not gonna get on here and bash them. The only thing I can say is the amount of maney you will pay to stay at Westgate, you could get a nice cabin for the same amount of time. imean a really nice cabin. Since it is a timeshare you are also gonna have to deal with the sales presentation. Please just look into it before you make your decesion.

I am an owner at Westgate. Some of the units are nice inside. It is a cabin/trailor park. Whatever you do don't buy! I will give mine to you free. Once you buy you are stuck with it. You cannot sell the suckers to anyone. Now they have companies that want you to pay them thousands of dollars to take it off your hands because you can never schedule weeks to use it. You are just stuck with it plus paying maintenance fees and rci fees. Stay far away from any timeshare place because they just lie to you.

I worked there my father worked there we have stayed at the ones in florida i personally think they are very nice cabins people could be a little nicer but as others are saying they are very compact they have some big cabins there but right next to more cabins hence the trailor park saying if your ok with neighbors then go for it if not keep ur distance

I suggest renting a nice Cabin in gatlinburg---You will enjoy the Smoky Mountain experience.

I visited the resort today for the presentation of 90 minutes and a great breakfast of cereal and eggs, gravy, and generic link sausage. The spill lasted 3 hrs and I had to demand I was leaving and the main guy came 3 times to offer lower prices. The prices initially were way to expensive for the middle class person with a family considering the yearly maintenance fee. It does look great but one has to be careful because too many options as to yearly or odd years and time of the year. I had a very pushy salesperson and then called over the corporate. They were too pushy. That turns me off. I think out my purchases and they are determined to get one to commit immediately. I am so glad I did not. Go online there are thousands of timeshares for sale at great prices. I mean great prices. Very pushy sales personnel. I could tell they were pissed off because I did not purchase, but I do not care and so glad I did not commit. I have found many better deals online. BEWARE
