One Pill At a Time

The SC Commonwealth's Attorney said that 29 people were indicted on 95 drug-related counts with all but seven of those indictments on felony charges. He stated that he feels the mass indictments and roundups of drug suspects are having an impact and "With the word of mouth among drug dealers, I think they're geeting the message in Scott County. They see it not only in what we say, but what we do." All the credit goes to the SC Sheriff' Office, the VSP and the Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force. This makes about the fifth round-up of this nature in the past four years and it appears that those who say "one Pill At a Time" doesn't work just doest want to admitt the truth. Good job JP our sheriff. This article is in the Kingsport-Times news paper. And, no, it does not mention the name of John Puckett. This article seems to know that one arrest does work.

It just doesn't add up...if this one pill at a time stuff is really working...then why do the same people keep getting charged--is it really effective or numbers on paper? And if the drug dealers don't want to be in scott county...then where are all the one pill arrests coming from?

Seems as if we need tougher pentiles so the courts can take them off the stree and put them behind bars.

sure thing, let's put all in jail---so we (the taxpayers) can keep 'em up at an outrageous price! If the sheriffs office would quit wasting time on piddley stuff---there might be some serious criminals going to jail.

I feel so ashamed that I am from a state and town who conducts this kind treatment mostly to those passing through. But most of you STUPID A@@HOLES feel that busting the out of towners for illegal window tint is ok because youre not the one being busted and its bringing in revenew in the form of fines and court cost. But wrong is wrong and thats what this is.Most of these people are from kentucky just passing thru to do some shopping in kingsport.Do we really need to hate our neighbors this bad and is our county budget so desperate that we need to send these officers{white cop cars, weber city or gate city mostly}out to legally rob these people?I mean come on people,do we really think these people are such criminals just because of illegal window tint? After all they dont live here there just passing through. You guys are always going on and on about what makes us ALL look like a bunch ignorant, inbred, redneck, bumpki ns,well heres something that makes us all look like villians. Its a wonder when some of us stray over the kentucky border every now and then that the kentucky police force dont shoot all virginia residents on site for this kind bulls@@t.I think its time we stop picking on these kentuckyens for just simply passing tru.Or is that the problem, scott co is pissed because off because these people do most of their shopping in kingsport and we dont get ALL their buisness? If you want their buisness stop f@@king with them every time you see them.SHAME,SHAME,SHAME.

I have to agree with the COCK(no pun intended)! Why do these cops have such a [email protected] for the tinted windows? If it's legal in their state, I don't think Va shpuld have a right to ticket them. On the other hand, if the vehicle is registered in Va(which does have tint laws), then I can see them getting written up. NO! this is not a double standard!! if you are from KY or another state where it's legal then I really can't understand the right to get a ticket. This is not a Commonwealth state, it is a Communist state!!!

All 50 states have tint laws, each state is different if you came to traffic court in scott county you would see that when an out of state person recieves a tint violation ticket they are illegal in their home state.

when an officer walks up to the car and cannot see inside, that is a real danger. someone could be getting ready to shoot him in the face. besides lots of times behind that tint is something illegal!!!!!! the only people that should have tint is for medical reasons. duh!

Starting to Nickelsville from Gate City on Thanksgiving Day at around 12:15 pm car started like he was turning up 72 instead used 72 turning lane, bridge and other turning lane to pass 3 cars went all the way into curve that way. I know this happens quite frequently but this day a Gate City deputy was parked on the bridge. Didn't even flash his lights or anything. The car went completely out of site by the time we made it to the new building on the right side of road before you get to Jim McConnells store. Running very fast and on a holiday when a lot of accidents happen. Did not understand why this situation was let go like this.
