I had the unfortunate experience of stopping at red stone. I say 'stopping' because, though I went there two weeks ago, I am still waiting on my food. In all honesty, I waited two hours, only to be told that the kitchen didn't have what I ordered. The pitiful excuse for a waitress asked what else I would like. I responded "will it take another two hours" to which she responded crassly "well we are busy". There wasn't five people at the place, four of which were at my table. A word of wise to every hungry traveler to Scott county, DO NOT GO TO RED STONE!!!!

I had a similar problem. Except added to my unusually long wait, 1)there was a vulgar song playing about giving oral sex to a female; 2) a ten-year old, dancing to the song, was wearing spandex and grinding in the middle of the restaurant; and 3) my food stunk!!!

I hearing that Tony McClellan owns the store, and if you know anything about him, you stay far far away from the place.

NO NO ,I must agree with these other guys. I have ate there many times thru out the years, and this was not so long ago a historic, very good place to get something to eat. But the last few times I went there something wasnt right. Well for 1 thing the atmosphere has changed since the remodeling. And the last few times I went there to eat, there was some creep setting by the front door watching everything that was going on, like he had nothing else better to do and maybe he could just shoot someone or something to pass the time. freeky. I just got the impression that he was keeping an eye on the waitress he was trying to score or something like that. If that was my restaurant the first thing I would do is grab that fruitypie perv by his waistband and escort him to the other side of the roadway and toss his suspicious looking azz into the weeds and make it clear if he came back it wouldnt be pretty. But this may be the new owner or something, I just dont know. NO ONE LIKES TO FEEL AS THO THEY ARE BEING WATCHED BY SOME SYCO WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO EAT SOMETHING. When the old guy was there he was nice. Some of you guys may know who im speaking of better than me but the last time I ate there and the food and the mood was right is when that yankeey chick was the waitress there. She fit the part so well that I told her she was the same to that joint as flow was to mels dinner on that tv show, and she made eating there a good time out. I never felt this strangness from the old guy several years back. What ever or who ever the problem, if this isnt fixed fast this historic eatery will fade into nothingness and the building will set empty if someone dont start a friggin flea market there or something. JUST MY THOUGHTS ON THIS PLACE.

Who was that server u was talking about? I worked their 4 a lil while lil over a yr managed it 4 Tony, but he treated me like a slave. So finally one day ive had enough and left 4 Georgia again!! And would u belive that he was still trying to get me back after 3 yrs away??? lol verry funny!! I can say however, that I loved my job, just nt big fan of the owner!! I have met alot of really good ppl, and will never forget them!! I wish that was my place, bet ppl would come back then??? I did a lil bit of every thing, cooked, served, and blew parking lot, trimmed hedges, did some canning, cleaned his house, and his empty apts!! would u believe that while id have customers in the store, he would pull in and demand that I cleaned his windows in his truck!!! If it wasent 4 him, I would still b their and every one would come back to visit!! but he says that EVERY ONE IS REPLACEABLE!!!! What do yall think?

I worked their for a lil over a yr myself, and aside from Tony, I loved it, well the customers any way!! I ran that place, and their is no reason 4 food to b taking that long!! I had worked by myself and have been filled to capacity and floated around like nothing and made really great $ because I always made sure to take care of my ppl!! I loved being busy, Friday night fish fry was one of my favorites, we had all u could eat, and I usually knew who to expect, and id even help cook most of the time, so my customers was always happy!! I only wish that I could have a place like that myself one day!!! Maybe one day I will and ill let y'all know!!For any of yall who new this Yankee girl and enjoyed my services, Thank You to each and every one of you!! and im sorry that place is going down!! I would go back, but I have three kids to think about, Three kids as a single mom isent easy!!

Tony has a criminal history longer than his greasy mullet but shorter than the amount of time I had to wait to get my food. I went there once but never again. The food sucked and the service was only slightly better than cancer. You would be far better off eating a urinal cake or driving a few miles in either direction for a gas station hot dog. They have some stupid sign on the wall that says "If you want fast food then go to McDonalds." Damn I should've listened! You shouldn't be allowed to take a dump on a plate, wait for said turd to get cold, garnish it with parsley and 2 hours later point to the sign as a disclaimer. Tony can wash his own windows

I know this is an old post and you're probably no longer reading it but I just noticed your reply. I never knew her/your name but she looked fine and was very nice. But I knew you were a northern gal from your accent and something about that Always turns me on. Always on the go doing something and had a great attitude, I never said much when there because you were so busy. As I said, you made eating there an enjoyable experience. When you left I went back 1 time and it SUCKED, I've never returned. THANKS!
