I think it would actually creep me out less if male gynos. just admitted it was sexual. But I think the denial is a part of these s&m ritualistic like exams.(Gyno exams are big in porn-esp. on virginal girls who don't need these exams anyway.) The ancient asexual doddering old men gynos., who seem to always be examining underage girls who can't meaningfully consent, make me squick the most. Many of my teen friends had this forced on them by parents, which created a terror in myself know I could be next. Yet we're so otherwise freaked out by statutory rape? hello.

Beyond that, from someone who has come to see a lot of feminism as bs, I still feel something is so wrong in the world when a male dominated profession has such a sense of entitlement to women's bodies, even their most pirvate parts. I am sad that there aren't more chivalrous men in our lives to protect us from this. Do some research and look at the kind of bullying manipulation and entitlement these medical rapists use when women insist on seeing female practitioners, even when it's just for their daughters first exam.

I'm glad there are still some males like Jake. Thank you. You're definately onto something with the psychological issues of these "drs." And the female male gyno lovers on here seem to have some sort of Stockholme syndrome. We who know something is wrong and won't swallow our discomfort are told we're crazy and to stuff it, but I'd say the above parties need psych. help. Keep up the good work, put male gynos. out of business. Let it be a weird chapter in medicine, like leeches, our descendents will look at with incredulity and disgust.

The male medical student is not telling the truth about how many woman are becoming ob gyns. Nationaly, fifty percent of graduating medical students are woman (as are law students) over 90% of those woman are going into ob gyn. Jake is right, he a med student trying to become a gyn. He is not honest about his facts. Dont worry, you wont have any patients any way. Woman want to see woman, that is why there are so many female obs now. Supply and demand my boy, supply and demand. Pick something else in medicine while you still have time. Do something noble dont be a pervert.

Look how deceitful ms iii is. Ladies, imagine letting that kid (jerk) put his fingers up inside of you? Have pride in yourself. Go to a female ob. The boy is lying, there are plenty of female docs more every day. If he lies about something like that, what wouldnt he lie about?

This is not related to patient modesty or male gynecologists, but I felt like I should respond to this.
You are actually referring to birth control pills. I do believe that sometimes birth control pills indeed can cause chemical abortions. I personally have reservations about birth control pills. Some of my friends or family members have used or currently use birth control pills. I have done some research and I cannot conclude that birth control pills ALWAYS cause chemical abortions . There are many different kinds of birth control pills. If a birth control pill works to keep a woman from ovulating, then it is okay. The problem is birth control pills work differently with each woman. I have a friend who was on birth control pills and she got pregnant. Her son is very healthy. There is a way for a woman to determine if she ovulates or not. The reason sometimes birth control pills fail to stop ovulation is because women don't take birth control pills the right way.
I have heard different sources of information about this issue. I have read some information from Randy Alcorn, Focus on Family, and other Christian sources. I just cannot conclude that birth control pills always cause chemical abortions because I am sure that there are some women who have never ovulated while on birth control pills.
I have a problem with birth control pills if they fail to prevent ovulation. If a woman doesn't ovulate, she cannot conceive. I don't like the idea of birth control pill killing a fertilized egg.
Yes, I was referring to birth control pills. Yeah, I think since you are on the topic of modesty and Godly righteousness you should respond. It's not a matter of your personal belief it's about factual information that can be proven with evidence. I didn't say birth control pills/oral contraceptives/OCPs cause abortion all the time. By the way, this word CHEMICAL abortion. What does that mean? Abortion is abortion. Let us not try to make it something else or put a lighter spin on it. Plain and simple it's murder. A fertilized egg that can produce a human being is being eliminated by an outside intervention purposefully. That's abortion whether its a gruesome D&C procedure or a gruesome OCP.

"The reason sometimes birth control pills fail to stop ovulation is because women don't take birth control pills the right way." This is incorrect and not based on fact or evidence to prove so. In fact, with any birth control there is a risk that a woman will ovulate while taking the pill. Even that packet of information given with a prescription bottle of birth control will mention that fact. You tell me how a woman can be sure she has ovulated 100% of the time. If even one time during the course of a woman using an OCP it causes a fertilized egg to be aborted, is that not more than enough? And there is no way of predicting with certainty what women it will happen to or it doesn't happen to. All that science can prove, is it does happen. Do you make a habit of playing Russian roulette? I imagine not so why is it okay to do this with a child's life. As you said, an OCP failed your friend but that is an exception to the rule. How many women don't get pregnant with OCPs? That's what pharmaceutical have designed them to do and they have multiple chemical mechanisms to do that, and one of those mechanisms prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. In fact, the story of your friend proves my point. Your friend did ovulate while on an OCP. Huh? An egg was fertilized while on an oral contraceptive. Wow! Fortunately, by the grace of God, that egg was able to implant despite many OCPs preventing implantation which is its abortifacient quality. I could argue this point with you all day, but I think regardless of what I say you will believe whatever you like. There is a reason in 1973 when Roe vs Wade court decision gave the right to murder babies a big advocate and lobbyist for this were pharmaceuticals.

Male medical students aspiring to become gynecologists ARE creepy and perverted. Seriously, who are you trying to fool? There is more than enough dishonesty in that profession as it is. Male gynecologists say they only want to help women and that they NEVER get aroused doing well woman exams. Seriously? This to me is dishonest and I really do feel sorry for the young women out there that go for their annual and the examiner is male and he becomes aroused, then denies it. These girls are told that the exam is not sexual and that the examiner "see's so many women he doesn't even notice anymore". What a load of BS. Young male med student, one day you may have a daughter. How would you feel if her first pelvic exam left her in tears and the examiner was a male who was sporting an erection after giving her a breast exam and inserting his fingers into her vagina?
So you want to become a doctor, you pick the one field where all the patients are female and you only examine breasts and vaginas. Medical Patient Modesty is not a sick woman. You aspiring male gynecologists have some real soul searching to do. I suggest you read "Women and Doctors" by John M. Smith. He was a gynecologist and gave up the profession because he realized that men have no business doing intimate exams on female patients. Pick a real profession where you can make a difference. Cervical cancer is not an epidemic and the world doesn't need another male gynecologist fooling women into unneccesary pap smears and breast exams.
Your ignorant of a lot and not worth my time. I don't care what Dr. Smith has to say. There are perverts in every field of medicine or every field. There are also a lot of malpractice in every arena of medicine.

I'm not going into OB/GYN, but your assertion and conclusion about males who are is bogus and immature. OB/GYN residencies are full of women because of women like you, and male medical students now this fact. It's a great field, and God forbid you get some gynecological cancer that you would love to have the best doctor treating you. By the way, that would involve gynecologic oncology a subspecialty of OB/GYN, one of the most amazing and complex fields of medicine because of all the expertise of medicine it requires. However, there are not many OB/GYN residents going into this field because of the years of trying and how life consuming it is. Sadly, and partly because of women like you, the best medical applicants for residencies, male or female, decide not to go into OB/GYN. It's one of the least competitive residencies. As to the truth, don't talk to me about graduating medical students. I am one. I don't know where you get your facts but my class is not 50% woman and neither is every other medical school. By the way, it's funny that you think 90% of graduating female medical students are going into OB/GYN. Try maybe 5%, if even that many. I would love to see where you got that data. Make sure you get that routine Pap.

What backwoods hillbilly school are you graduating from. In the big city it is 50 and 90%. Also, 50% from law school. 60% of College freshmen are woman. Are you not really aware of these facts? Just look around. Though maybe not where you live, lol.

I have been to a male ob/gyn and a female one and I'll never go to another female one again. Women think just because they have one and they get the same thing done it's not a big deal and they handle you like crap! Men are smarter than women and they are more professional. You guys are crazy!! God doesn't care who treats us medically. I mean if you go to a male doc cause it turns you on that's the only time I feel God would not appreciate it. And have your husband deliver your baby so a doctor won't see you? People who think that belong in an institution!! Do you know the millions of potential birth complications? You are uneducated fools! You think God wants you, or you should want to risk the life of "the lady you love" and your child, potentially killing your whole family for the sake of medical modesty?? I don't do them annually, I only had 3 and I'm 27 cause I don't believe in them but If my husband ever Mentioned to me to not use a male doctor I would immediately divorce him cause he's obviously an idiot.

Medical Patient Modesty: are you saying male nurses should not do any care for females which involves intimates (catheters, trauma etc.) If so I expect you also feel the reverse to be the appropriate way. Wow- sure would cause a lot of "hurting for a lot of patients". Maybe should leave well enough alone- if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Just keep updating !

it is wrong for men to be a gyneologist/obstetrician, they have no buisness being there. yes it does matte about modesty, and so many doctors seem to care less how that pateint and her husband feels wen it comes to these exams. they are very explicit, and its way over the top to expect any man to be ok with another man doing this exam to his wife.

I personally am only comfortable with a GYN who shows concern for my well being during an exam and who listens to snd answers my concerns with compassion and respect. I would rather have a male GYN who listens to me and who explains all treatment options and procedures, than a cold female GYN who tells me, "oh it's not that painful. I've had one done before", when you're obviously in tears from pain of a procedure. That happened to me. The majority of females I've had for GYNs have been cold, rough and Insensitive to any fears, nervousness or pain I've ever experienced. The men, though, don't dismiss those things and they actually make use of my pain to help them figure out what's going on. Picking a GYN is such a hugely important decision. A woman must feel comfortable with the professional who is responsible for helping her keep her body healthy. Some are more comfortable with men and some with women, and both preferences are for valid reasons. We shouldn 'to be judging eachother for preferring a man or a woman.

Being in medical school, unfortunately there is not an overwhelming majority of students that follow the Christian faith. Therefore, a responsibility falls on the shoulders of those that believe and have such an opportunity to be in the medical profession.

Medical Patient Modesty is a troll, she cherry picks articles to suit her religious beliefs. I can easily say that I believe as a muslim, hindu, or jew that being a christian is a sin. To Jake's point have you worked in a medical setting? Folks become desensitized to organs over time, and it can be nasty to drain fluids and see infections.

She is not a health professional, and is trying to adopt a religious viewpoint, similar to Muslim Countries where opposite-sex health care is basically banned, that is her goal.

Keep your religion private and to yourself.

I think this is a perfect example of what we are protesting. Who would want a member of his family going to any doctor with such an attitude? Your local police, firemen, code officers, military personnel are all subject to physiological aptitude test prior to placement but these "professionals" aren't subject to any test other than daddy's ability to donate to the school? Probably why they turn out a lot of what you are witnessing here.
