Not a clue as to what you are talking about now Mr. Original Poster. And I don't think you are anyone to be trying to tell me to stay off this web site. You aint got what it takes to stop me. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. But I guess this is just something else for you to whine about.

And once again, I ask you and all your other identities, what do you expect the government (city, state, whatever) to do about the noise problems and the trains?

I came up with several solutions, and again you have failed to come up with a single coherent idea at all except for sending a petition to the mayor. You don't have a clue.

Funny how all you can do is come back with put downs when I ask you a serious question.

Not my issue for you to rag on me about. Go ahead and rag on the people that started it, I would much rather tend to my own business. Have a happy day and good luck with your endeavors.
PS. There are many reputable psychologists in the area that could help you get well.

Mr Original Poster - until you can come on here and tell everyone what you really expect the Mayor or Governor to do about the noise problem or train schedule in Gastonia, then I'm tired of wasting my time with you.

And good luck getting any more money out of already depleted county and state budgets for road repair. All I can tell you (which I'm sure you won't like hearing) is that if it's in the budget, it will get fixed, if it's not, then maybe next year or the next, or the next, or the next.

No, you are talking about the guy everyone calls Dancing Dave. But he doesn't have his dog anymore. Cops had to put the dog down.

The way I hear it, they were trying to arrest Dancing Dave again for urinating on the sidewalk when the dog bit one of the arresting officers. The accompaning officer had to draw his weapon and shoot the dog to get the dog to let go of the other officer.

The officer was rushed to the hospital and treated for the bite and for rabies. Last couple of times I saw Dancing Dave he did not have another dog yet. I've been thinking about donating one to him from the Animal Shelter. But I think it would need to be a small one that would be easier for him to take care of and who wouldn't be a threat to the community.

I can't help you with the Curious Ken guy as I don't know who you are talking about.

Yeah, I really loved that guys dog. He looked like a bag of bones and I think he had the mange, but he always seemed to be smiling to me. And he had a patch on his eye just like the dog in the old little rascals show.

I do remember now that the guy would dance for you if you gave him a quarter or a coke. My mom would never let me go around him because she said he was messed up in the head and was dangerous. But I saw other people throwing money at him and he would just dance and dance.

Sorry to hear the cops had to shoot his dog. Do you know for sure if he really bit the cop or not? I know they are bad about making up stories to cover their butts when they shoot people, just figured they would do the same if they shot a dog. I'm suprised they didnt' shoot Dancing Dave too.

That was just what I read in the newspaper a couple months ago. I don't have any first hand knowledge of exactly. what went down. But it wouldn't suprise me either if it came out that the cops just shot the dog when they were trying to rough him up some.

Probably the only reason the cops didn't shoot Dancing Dave at the same time is because he is supposed to be some sort of war veteran or hero or something. Anways I'm guessing it would have caused them too many problems and publicity if they'd have put a bullet in his head like they did his dog

How can you come on here and say that about the Gastonia cops without proof? It is very easy to make up things that you THINK might have happened. I read the news article too and I didn't see anything at all about police brutality or beatings. I did see where a vicious, almost rabid dog had brutally attacked some police officers, almost killing one by latching on to this throat with his massive pit bull jaws. That policeman is lucky to be alive. I praise his partner for his quick thinking and quick gun work to dispatch this violent dog before it had a chance to attack a small child or someones small pet.

I think the police were justified in killing this mans dog. Obviously he can't control is dog any more than he can control his bladder. If the police did beat him up some for 'repeatedly' urinating on the public sidewalks in town, they I would think that would be justified too and I would be for it. But the newspaper didn't say anything at all about beating that homeless man.

I used to live right down town. I heard the trains, I heard the sirens, I heard the gates banging shut at all hours, I heard the cars going up and down the roads 24/7.
But I handled my own problem by moving out a bit where it was quieter. There, handled MY problem MYself. More people need to handle their own problems themselves and stop whining and looking for somebody else to fix the fact that they were STUPID enough to move into a noisy area down by the railroad tracks.
Bunch of crybabies.
Yep. I did the same. Now they want to put a toll road in my front yard. Wish I had stayed down town. Sometimes the whining is justified.

I think the problem is that we have too many volunteer firemen. Every Tom, Dick, and Billy Bob wants to pretend they are important...so we have 5,000 of them. Those good ole boys can't wait to turn the siren on and head to an "emergency."

Would like to commend the road crews for patching up lots of the potholes and other spots on our roads. It's a big job and we thank you, please keep up the good work. Try and rework some of the manholes covers on our roads also, they're in pretty rough shape too.

Looks like the roads are gett'in just a bit better. Still got mucho Manhole Covers to bring up to road level. These things damage tires and wheels. As bad as the economy is it's getting more difficult to maintain a personal vehicle for everyone. I recently took a ride up to Hickory, those folks have been getting their roads ready for winter. Gastonia public works and NC Dept of Highways need to pay Hickory a visit and check out the work that is being accomplished up there. Keep up the good work, and Happy Thanksgiving.
