MADD to monitor Loretta Pressley in court for habitual drunk driving

I applaud MADD's decision to monitor this lady's case. There are so many in Gaston County who fall into the category of repeat offenders. They are usually just given community service, a fine maybe, or have the charges reduced to a lesser charge or dismissed altogether. I was told overcrowding in our prison systems was to blame. Tell that to the victims families when they are told their child, husband, wife, Daddy, Mother, brother, sister or other beloved family member was killed by a repeat drunk driver. It's time to put repeat drunk drivers feet to the fire! They should be made to wear alcohol monitoring bracelets for at least one year on a second offense and add one year for each offense after that. If you hit people in their wallet they have a tendency to listen a little better. After a third offense, they should be given a mandatory six years in prison. Bring back prisoners maintaining our roads, working on pea farms or some type of hard labor as punishment. Quit giving them three hots and a cot with access to T.V., air conditioning, heat and all the comforts of home. What kind of punishment is that for people who commit crimes? They have no fear of going to jail or prison anymore. No wonder there is overcrowding! They rob people who are working!! When will justice system realize what the real problem is?

Does MADD in Gaston Co monitor any habitual offenders of drunk driving, or does MADD only monitor cases where drunk drivers injure someone. My interest is in the fact we have a very prominent community person with 3 convictions, the last arrest over a year ago and yet to appear in court due to continuing the case every 3 to 4 months. I am outraged this person continues to drive, work with children, acts as if she has done no wrong, not been convicted of another DWI, and continues to drink and display her partying and drunkenness on her Facebook page! She seems to have no fear of going to jail or even going to court for that matter. Though this person was arrested, but yet to be convicted, this is such an injustice to anyone that travels by car. Who knows the next time she gets into a car if she will be sober or drunk...she is not being held accountable at all!!
