People still think the audit is why the trial has not taken place. This is a seperate issue. The town will have to pursue the culprits for restitution. People do not understand that the audit will not speed up or slow down a trial. The trial has not happened because of delay tactics by the defendants and the slow court system. Great job to Mayor and council on your progress.

That idea bothers me...but how in the world will we ever pay back this debt? And the mayor reported that the state was holding $38k -- but according to this article, it's $36k.$111,154.05. Holy smokes...

What pray tell do you have for evidence that the council has made PROGRESS on getting this trial pushed through?? Have you attended any council meetings lately?

I did not say they were pushing it through. It was clearly stated that they have no control of the trial only that they can request restitution. Progress made was referring to the debts paid off.

Have you attended a meeting lately?
