Fred helps organize a race on Labor Day. This race is a different one. But maybe you were joking with your comment??

Sorry, just joking , I remember Freddie from our high school days. I knew he was living in Paden City , and wanted to play with him one last time. I know he reads this all the time. He is one classmate I never want to see again. Glad he lives in West Virginia. HE always wins.

I know who your talking about. I ran in the Paden City Fun Run a few years ago. It was a nice race at one time. Then when this doofus put himself in charge it went down hill. I think the guy has ants in his pants. Didn't seem to be very popular among the PC folk either.

Well, this thread was started in response to the Foundation 5K Run/Walk, I am guessing. In that respect, the run went very well, beautiful weather, though very sunny and warmer than a lot of runners really like. There were lots of awards and even those that didn't place in the top 3 received Finishers medals. Pretty good for a 5K race in only its third year. The Paden City Labor Fun Run has been around since the mid to late 1970's and directed by different people throughout the years. Sonny Powell was a running enthusiast in PC back then and was instrumental in getting the race started. Bob Burton organized the race for many years and when he retired, Fred King and Kim Huffman stepped up. That race supports the PCHS track and cross country teams. The Foundation 5K race supports scholarships, the Paden City Museum and the Cornerstone project. Both races are great for Paden City and the area and offer great courses for runners and walkers. Plus they support very worthwhile causes. My advice, enter both of them and have a great experience. The Foundation 5K is always held on the first Saturday of June and starts and finishes at Centennial Park on Main Street. The Labor Day Fun Run is on Labor Day and starts and finishes in front of Paden City High School.
