I heard that a 44 year old lady jumped to her death from a second floor window at the Gary Nursing Home on Saturday Night. Also heard that she was under suicide watch when this happened and they went looking for the lady and she was on the ground outside her window. The ambulance was called and the driver fell and hurt himself on the icy parking lot. The bosses there have ran all their good help off and this is what it has led to. I hear that things like this had happened before with the director at another company.

I can't understand why the media hasn't picked up on this tragedy. If this is true, I wouldn't let them care for my dog.I've known two CNAs that work there for about five years, and both are very cruel.

So you "HEARD" this, why is it not on the news and what was the name of the nursing home? Should have facts before posting somethin this bad.

Why do some of you people get on here and start with things you do not have facts on?? How do you know all this information?? If you work there then you know you are not suppose to talk about these things, if you don't work there then unless it was your family it is none of your business..Yes there is good and bad CNA's there just like there is good and bad in any job..You are judging by what you have HEARD instead of what you have seen for yourself?? Maybe the family didn't want every tom, dick and harry to start running their mouths but I guess some just have to...You do not know the situation on what happened with this young lady or why she did what she did...I think her family deserves better then what is being said on here..

A small town is more informed than anyone associated with the media because everbody knows everybody. The residents of our town are very supported for the victim's family and friends. These things should be brought out in the open, not sweep under the rug as you prefer. Is it to your advantage not to have the nursing home closed? I was informed with the correct information and the nursing home should be closed.

I did clinicals at the nursing home a few years back they treat the patients so badly, cursing them being aggressive and unpatient, I wouldnt send my mother-in-law there if she needed to be in a home. Not all the nurses are like that there but most are and that is sad, but when it is time for them to go to a home they will get treated the way they treated their patients!

really. I am from that small community..unless you were on the floor when this lady did what she did u do not know what happened. Just like a small community gossip thrives. Let this family take care of it the way they want. the state closed the case but people can't close their mouth..If you are so sure about the nurses why dont you post their names so they can get turned in?? I have friends and family that work there and i have seen them cry when they lose someone so get your info correct before you say anything. ask yourself why it was not brought out in the open since you know why..Some of you are so immature. Blaming people when u don't know. Was the family in the room when this happened?? And since you say I prefer it to be sweep under the rug you are as stupid as your statement. If there was foul play then ever who done this deserves what they would get..You need to take it up with the state board they are the ones who released liability..But then you already know that, sorry. You are judging the whole nursing home on the bad nurses but never reconize the good ones because then that would not make for good gossip..

I wouldn't put anyone in that nursing home at Gary...after seeing some of the people that work up there and their "habits".....and I am sure this lady probably jumped out the window, why lie about it...they've probably already been sued for it.

Yes, I think that that is plumb crazy!
How come we never heard about it on the news?
Who was the lady who died? I am so sorry to hear this!

You would think that CNN News would report on this news story to tell the world about it!!!!

By not reporting this on the news, makes one wonder what else has been hidden from the public. I know for a fact it really happened.

they lied to the media about the lady dieing is why the media didn't pick up on it. We weren't allowed to say anything.

That nursing home is a dump and the nursing staff are uneducated and lazy. They need a boss that is educated and makes them walk the line. Poor nursing manager.. Poorest excuse for a human much less a nurse. God help those poor soles who have to live there. One day god will show them mercy and deliver them from that hell hole.
