The man who runs it is named Jack. He isn't from the area but he is trying to bring something into this area for the kids. He has set up a little game area in the school and is trying to do more things for them. He has purchased a mobile camper that he is converting into an ice cream truck to go to the local areas for the children to purchase an ice cream just by listening to a bible story.

I know that a lot of things are going on at the School For Life. He tries to give something for the kids to do, and to here about Jesus in the process. I also know that he does a lot of work on people's houses. I would like to know how this place is run. Is it grant money, church organizations or out of pocket. If anyone knows the answer to this please post. I'm not bashing, this is something that is very important for me to know. I'm not just being nosey either. A personal experience has happened to someone very dear to me, and I'm very worried about her. I have to have some info and don't know where to start or who to a talk to. Could someone please HELP!!!!!!!

I think most of the support is from church organizations, but Jack uses a lot of his own money too. If you need help he's the man to go to. If he can't help he can help you find what you need. He is a good man. The people of Gary love you Jack and very much appreciate what you are doing for our little town.

Jack IS a very good man. The program is awesome and the kids learn the value of helping others. The only problem with the program is that they start projects and never finish them. The kids aren't here for long enough periods of time, and the next groups that come in don't finish what the prior kids who had to leave have started. Have you seen all of the half painted houses in Gary? They start painting and then run out of time. The program is great, just needs a little tweaking...

AMEN!! Or should I just say "HALLELUIAH"!I met this man, asking for a little help. I need a roof on my home, and he came to help. WELLLLLL, he was willing to help with a whole lot more, completly ignoring the important issues, like a roof. The groups that came poured their hearts out with work. They tried so hard, their just wasn't enough time to finish what was started. My kitchen was torn completly out. I have no kitchen. My roof was torn completly off, on that side of my home, 220 wires are hanging naked. What was once my kitchen had to have a hole chopped in the floor to let the water out, when it flooded with 3 inches of water in it. Oh yea, I still don't have a roof on my home. Now, Jack says, he didn't do it because I didn't buy the materials, EVERY time he came to my home I brought the roof up, and I was always told," We'll get it done". Then I called him on a Sunday to ask about the roof, and he told me that he had done all he could do to help me. By the way, his wife came in that weekend. He comes over the following week to see how everything looked. He said he wanted to see how good my kitchen looked, my kitchen was never touched after the first day, when it was torn out, and I do mean COMPLETLY! His wife's solution to this problem was to get an envelope, stuff it with all the money I could, tell my kids to forget about Christmas this year, save all the money I could, and they would be back next summer to finish. Hell, I won't have a house next summer, much less a kitchen or a roof. I know he does a lot for those kids in Gary, I get it. If anyone is familiar with all the groups that come to that school, and has went to his official site. Look what he charges for each person that stays there. He has had 60+ stay there in one week, start adding that up. That's a LOT of money. I just don't think he does that much. Then the thrift store. Run on donations. Charging for the donated items. Maybe that's the definition of a "Legal Thief". Jack would only know that inside joke. I thought I would just keep my mouth shut and leave it alone. Everytime I walk through my house, it just pisses me off. Especially know that it will cost me well over $10,000 to fix what I believe he got grants to do to start with!!!!!!!!!

You better be glad they didn't start on it or you would be one step from homeless like I am right now!

It is a shame and disgrace what this man called Jack, did to my daughter and left her in a shape that she is in. I would be so afraid to use God in a way that he is scamming people. I would love to talk to this man face to face, and i will get my chance. And his young wife Brenda telling her to stuff money in an envelope and tell her family there will be no Christmas, I wonder if she would do that no, because she don't have to. It is raining today and water is pouring into her house. Now let the people talk about what a wonderful man he is. And if anyone wants to come and look at her house they are welcome and just see what Mr Jack Fultz did.

Ooh Bartley Girl, that's horrible! I was trying to be nice and not bash! There is absolutely no excuse for what they did to you....

They painted my neighbor's house (well, half of it) and they even paid for their own supplies. Jack also came to their house and offered to finish the job next year...lol!

My Mother was told by Mr. Jack that I was just trying to get something for nothing. Also, all he did was provide housing for the missionaries and he has nothing to do with the jobs they preform. The housing ain't cheap, check out his website. We could at least pay the bills, then. Now, I'm one step from homeless. I'm not just out to bash someone, I swear to that. Oh, how I wish I could post pics of this mess. It is absolutly beyond belief!!!! My Mother was also told that if I opened my mouth that he would sue (spelling?) me!!!!! So, once again, I'm not posting anything that's a lie. Hell, what could he get, my house? LMAO!!!!!!

Sounds famailiar. According to Mr. Jack, as he told my Mother, he has NOTHING to do with what these groups come and do. Nothing whatsoever. All he does is provide the workers. Also, I was just out to get something for nothing, he just usually helps the poor and he is pissed off over me "reporting" him. Check out the website, little more than just "providing". I could pay my bills when he came to my house, now I'm one step from homeless, and the "report", was when I get a builders permit and the redevelopment authorithy wanted to know why I was just coming after one. Also, this whole situation just pisses him off, well I'm pissed off!!! Enough is enough. I would hate for this to happen to anyone. If I say anything to anyone I will be sued, what's he gonna take from me, MY HOUSE!!! That's the only thing I have! After all this is a forum, I'm not bashing, this is nothing more than the truth.

Today is a good day! I do believe my house is going to be saved. A few months ago, a woman I called with a few questions I thought she may be able to answer, got on the subject of carpentry. I told her about my house and she asked if she could come and see. She done a walk through and was amazed. She said she knew someone who may be able to help. A couple of men came and saw the disaster my home was in. Told me they will do everything they could to help. I never thought much more about it and they come back last week. This week my house is being roofed, my house has been jacked up, a REAL wall has been put up in my kitchen. Insulation installed, it is absolutly unreal! I am so greatful. Thanks to Community Crossings I am not going to lose my home. I have not been on here just bashing Jack Fultz, I am only exercising my first amendment. Speaking the truth. He may help someone else, I only know what he has done to my home. The Lord works in mysterious ways, he shows me this constantly, a week ago I had little hope of my home surviving the winter. Today, my home will be dry and warm this winter.

It's raining this morning and for the first time of my life in this house, I have not had to distribute coffee cans on the floor. I now have a newly shingled roof on my house. Thank you Community Crossing!!!!!

Jack fultz is a fake, his programs are fake and are only created to make him look good and he gets nothing completed. I heard he lives with the Childrens program director Marjie up on wall street. But he thinks no one knows. That place only fills his pockets.
