keep building rain gardens to keep sediment and water out of the lake. add more impervious surface restrictions to keep more water out of the lake and keep it cleaner so it can fill-up with mil-foil and other weeds--brilliant

We are very happy to see the lake level come up. We always knew it would as it has in the past when it's been low. Nice to see it happening!

Keep being irresponsible by putting dirty boats in the lake... Don't wash your boat after you use it.. It is the boaters fault that milfoil is in those lakes to begin with.. Oh yeah, when you yahoo's bring zebra mussels and all of the other invasive species into the lake you can just turn around and blame the DNR..-Now that's brilliant!

I blame the DNR for not allowing Kohler Mix on 61 to pump the millions of gallons of water they pull from the aquifer back into Goose lake or White Bear, but instead into the Mississippi flowage.

It is strange seeing the lake this low, I grew up around this lake and spent most of my childhood at the beach in the summer..even the 3 inchs of rain, is just a drop in the bucket of what is needed to replenish this lake. I hope that it will happen. It is a great lake to enjoy.

Hey Republi-thugs...tell me again how climate change is not real. Then go to WBL and try to say the same thing.

Proof that any time Republi-thugs talk about the environment, they tell lies.

Hey IRISHMN,

I will take this bait. First what does climiate change have to do with a Lake having low levels?

Let's use you as an example of how uneducated and not well thought out comment you have made. I am sorry that I will need to use logic and math to counter your comment.

A low level lake. Yes tis is true. Howeever one year of a low level lake out of how many years th elake has been around. Let's say th elake has been around for 100,000 years. So the percent of this 1/100,000 is .00001 so .001 of a percent. You are trying to prove a point by using evidence that has an accuracy percent of .001 of a percent.

Face it you need to stop drinking and think this climate change crap out.

then you need to sober up and stop making these posts. Also I am irish and very proud of it bad you are making my people look uneducated and just plain stupid.

Next think you'll tell me is that President Obama actually desevered his Nobel Peace Prize.

I work in Coon Rapids and live in Blaine. It is snowing currently in Coon rapids and temp is 31 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yet IRISHMN believes we have global warming and climate change.

How does one force it to snow in Minnesota in October and if we could control the weather I would like warmer winters and only rain at night please.

IRISHMN - back to you. Please answer my question if you are sober yet this day.
thanks

Climate change...read those two words again, please.

This means not only global warming, which is a proven fact, but also strange occurances which are not normal.

All caused by greedy human beings that think they are more important than our Mother, the Earth.

Now, all Republi-thugs need to look in the mirror and ask why they think they are more important than their children and grandchildren since those are the ones that will suffer the wrath from years of abuse heaped upon the Earth.

Typical liberal democrat bull. If you actually read the science concerning global warming and take the Obama rose filtered glasses off you would actually see your ignorance.

I also grew up in the area and have enjoyed WBL since the 1950s.

One thing has "changed" that being the removal of pump houses on the lake.

There used to be a pump house near Manitou Island bridge AND another near the Ramsey County beach. I recall the pumped in water was very cool.

Why isn't water pumped into the lake any longer to maintain its level?

Also some have mentioned Zebras and how boats cause the movement into expanding lakes. HOWEVER the Zebra is carried by waterfowl from lake to lake so clean boats all you want but the Zebra will continue to expand its range.

FYI the Zebra was brought to the USA because of environmentalist regulations on balast water changing on frieghters, thanks so much tree huggers. Stupid arses..

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
