collins store and foodland in garrison

first national bank was going to loan Mccaine the money to buy jo ed's gas station then when john collins and his family found out john and june bentley told first national that we have a lot of money in this bank and if you loan the money for Mccaine to come in here and put a food land in garrison where done with this bank! So first national would not load Mccaine the money. thats why they backed out of buying that gas station and why John was rushing building a new store.

But its not over yet Mccaine went to another bank and got the loan and HAS PURCHASED JO-EDS GAS STATION AND FOOD LAND IS COMING TO GARRISON !

Well hopefully Foodland will NOT hire mexicans to build thier store unlike Collins. There are alot of people in Garrison out of work and they could use the job, but John hires mexicans instead!!!!!

Let's just put to rest once and for all the idea that John hired people of Mexican descent to build his new store. Turn your brains on for a minute, everyone, and really pay attention to what I'm about to say because it's clearly been over everyone's heads thus far.

John Collins - like every other person/company - took BIDS from CONTRACTORS who were willing to build his new store. He went with the lowest bid. The CONTRACTOR employs who they employ - in this case it happens to be "Mexicans" as you so sensitively refer to them. I've got to hand it to you all, it does sound oh SO educated. John did not hire these people so that he could pay them less and take jobs from any of you who are sitting around collecting unemployment because you're too lazy to accept a job for less pay than what you think you deserve with a high school education.

You're all lucky that you have a nice, family run business to patronize in your community. So much of the Collins family's time and income goes right back into Garrison. Don't you people realize that? John and Marsha are good people who would give the shirts off their backs to those in need and all you can do is come on here and insult them? John Collins has caught a young girl ripping open a pack of diapers and stealing some in the aisles of his store and instead of punishing her, he gave her the entire pack because she couldn't otherwise afford to diaper her child. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Find something better to do with your time or at least try to have some idea what you are talking about before you open your mouths.

John got the choice of takeing the low bid ! but he bgrudges us the same Right by allowing us to choose between two grocery stores. I think that just shot Johns fairness all to hell !

Again, you really don't have any idea what you're speaking of. Lewis County as a whole is nothing but a rumor mill. Unless you heard that John "threatened" the bank directly from the horses's mouth (i.e., John - for those of you who are inevitably confused right now), what reason do you have to believe it?
