This kind of thing really annoys me.
These kind of things ignore issues of scale. Overall grocery store shopping bags contribute to problems of pollution, environment warming, and so on, only in the most minuscule way.
The only real affect of measures like these is to inconvenience and infuriate people. As a consequence real and meaningful changes are not made because people come to equate environment activism with silly people whose efforts do not address problems in a meaningful way.
