Rockland Legislature grants Vanderhoef $17,322 raise

NEW CITY - Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef will see a $17,322 raise in 2010 after an 12-5 vote Tuesday by the county Legislature to retroactively increase his pay.

How dare they! I hope that when it comes time for re-election of the legislators who voted Vanderhoef a raise, the people of Rockland County remember this. In a time of financial crisis for the County as well as New York State, this is a real slap in the face to the voters (especially the ones who voted for him). How arrogant can you get? Well, can a raise for Christopher St. Lawrence be far behind?

Political greed,just like the waisted salaries, and large ones that are paid to Rocklands three
congressman/women who do nothing. Politicians should wear masks when the get paid for robbing us.
