I know these punks and they are nothing more than a festering boil on the collective a$$ of society. The mother of the two brothers is a sponge that is indicitive of a wellfare state that doesn't have a job and can't parent either. For all of you that want to "support" the boys who did this, go on down to huntsville and hold hands the next time they put down one of the oxygen thiefs that found his way there by destroying someone else's life. We euthanize wild animals and they are nothing more than that!!!!!

Seth and Ethan Dorris were two of the punks. Who were the other punks involved?
the rumor in school is Travis, Sandy and Austin

Not sure on their last names. I was told that Travis was in the car watching and telling them to stop, don't know if that is true.

I am sorry for the Teachers, who have to deal with kids like these, the police officers who try to steer the kids in a better direction, but have a system that limits them, and a community that has the stigma of this horrific event to carry. The boys involved in this were known to be "troubled" youths. They knew what they were doing when they went to that victims yard. That was premeditated. They are all responsible for what happened. They should all pay the price. They wanted to be Adults, then they should get the same punishment as an adult. How would you feel, if they were returned to their families, and just continue on like nothing happened. Would you feel compfortable if they live within your immediate area??? The parents failed in teaching the kids how to make good decisions, choice of friends, proper supervision, etc. They need to never be allowed to return to the outside world!

Emotions, emotions we all act out of our emotions. How we feel at a specific time. Who gave emotions power over morality? We must all pray that emotions do not, or have not caused us to do the unexplainable things to our family or friends or even our neighbors. Hmmm Emotions!
But they had no intention of killing the man, and had no idea they did until they were arrested.
Accidentally beat him to death with a hammer? I doubt it.

Yes, one of the emotions behing anger is fear .
Many angry people are fearful of things they aren't familiar with or upset about something they cannot control.

they each made a decision to jump into the truck with their friend that night. Knowing they were returning for a fight. they made a decision to jump out of the truck and "beat a man to death" for telling them "to slow down." What shame, I hope each one them are tried as an adult for 1st degree murder. my prayer goes out to the two young boys who had to withness their mentor beatin to death.
My question is where were WPD - they seem to always be near by. i know they pulled me over a couple times on and near and around that street for "driving while being brown" - hey WPD - your profiling the wrong color -once again!
Why is it that any time a high profile subject hits these forums, some bone head wants to tie in "Racial Profiling". This case has said nothing of race. I am sick of the race card being flown every time someone of color is unhappy. I understand that there are issues with race, but don't try to force the race issue on a subject that has nothing to do with it. This is a common concern too. It takes validity away from the true racial discrimination problems already present. Race is not the reason for your being pulled over (I'll bet). Most likely your vehicle or driving habits brings to mind another incident the officer has encountered in the past. I'm certain you have done something wrong in the past and gotten away with it. Does that mean they don't profile enough?? You see, neither has to do with the other. Quit looking for excuses and be an adult. I know several persons of color that don't get profiled or harassed. Maybe it's wrong, but it's how I feel.

I agree. The police have a hard enough time with all the speeders, the drunks and the druggers. They come in all colors.
I wish they could "profile" every driver just to see if their license was suspended, and if their insurance was expired.
I'm sick and tired of paying for UNINSURED motorist fees on my insurance.

Hey What,
Are you truly that ignorant? You think he was 'accidentally' beaten with a hammer? You think you have to know the victim to doubt it?

What a moron.

The fact of the matter is these kids went to this man's house with a hammer and beat him up. Whether or not they intended to "kill him", what made them think beating a man would have no repercussions? If anything they still would have been arrested for assault, even if they didn't kill them. The reality is they did, and they need to pay for their crime. I feel for the family and friends of this man who was beaten so senselessly. I hope these teens are punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Please also let's stop with the "racial profiling" and "race card" thing? Yes there are some issues with race in Wylie, and it's part of the reason my husband and I am planning on moving from Wylie, but this story has nothing to do with that.

Let's worry about how these boys will be punished instead.

EVEN IF ???

Listen, people on drugs do get violent and hurt people.
My ex husband would stand over me and tell me he was
going to beat me up when he was on crack. He did not seem to
be "high" but then what do I know I don't use drugs.
I believe he used to get mellow, so a change did come and
I left because I like my teeth the way they are.

I think giving them a place to eat and sleep for any amount of years would be an insult for this man's family.

It's definitely lack of correct upbringing that makes kids think beating someone to death is excusable. I know of no normal person who would ever beat someone in this brutal way just for them telling them not to speed down a street. Don't fool yourselves: these kids are CRIMINALS and even if they didn't intend to kill the man, the fact is that even if they hadn't killed him they still beat him, which is still criminal, still inexcusable and wrong. I hope they go to jail for life.

It is lack of respect for anyone. also selfish kids brought on by the selfishness they see in their own parents. Lack of teaching of
moral values and kindness and compassion to others.
