Why should we "try out" something that's not found in the Bible?

Eph 5:22-24
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

Not at all my papist friend.

I happened to stumble upon this and I laughed out loud. Why are there so many variations of the "holy bible"? Who has the right one? Do you know anyone that came back from the dead and told you that Catholicism is wrong and that Baptists are right? Why are there so many variations of Baptists? Are some more holy than other Baptists? Are Jehovas Witnesses wrong? Who is right? In all actuality, faith based religion is just that...based on faith. Faith based religions have twisted and interpreted the bible in their own way to make their lives and religion more palatable. Now, for all of the fighters out there...I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm right...I'm just saying that maybe instead of spouting scripture and telling everyone else that their religion is wrong...maybe try a different approach. People like me, on the "religion fence", when you attack each other like a bunch of blood thirsty pirahnas based on your beliefs, you make people like me want nothing to do with it. In all of the religions out there, whatever you may be, I bet that it tells you somewhere in your book to be a good steward of your time and try to witness. Instead of bitching and moaning at each other about scripture, approac everyone like their a potential "on the fencer". Thats all I had to say.

It is proper to speak against false religions.

The author made some good points. It would be hard for me to read the things I have seen people post in a heated religious discussion and see much love in their words.I place myself in this category at times. Its hard to keep emotions under control when so much is at stake.

I suggest you do not check out religion on topix while all the ugliness is going on.

We have a chance to change now.

All the pleading will be useless on judgment day.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.(Mt. 7:21)
