Wake Village is taking back the town. Our town has been on a downhill ride for a while now but a few residents are standing up for the historical little town. We are asking any and everyone in the area to stand with us. If we get control and make it safe and clean again, our property values will rise and our kids will be safe when they play outside. Watch the newspaper over the next week or so and you will see an article written about our venture. We need more people that are willing to stand up to the gangs, drug dealers, slumlords and any others that have chosen to deface our small town. We are picking up the phones and reporting EVERYTHING from lingering in the streets so that cars can't pass to suspicous criminal activities. Our police department is getting into the action and doing a fantastic job of helping us in our mission! We are taking videos and pictures. We even started a blog to share information. Please visit our blog. www.wakevillagewatchgroup.blogspot.com Please share any information you may have with us. If you live in Wake Village and want to get your street involved with our program, be at Wake Village City Hall on Sunday August the 16th at 2:00pm for our meeting.

Chuck Green trying to refill that empty evidence locker that Estes never assembled? Or has Chucky boy ever assembled it either? I guess it is better unassembled. That way things disappear faster. With little or few questions ask. ;')

Wow! I posted so that people could join together, not show their ignorance and that they are pretty much like the ones we are trying to run out of our neighborhood. Would it kill you to show a little support? Would it be such a bad thing to say something positive instead of negative? Would the Earth crumble if you were descent? Hmm....I guess we'll never know but just for the records...God Bless!

Good luck to you and dont let others rants and raves at this site get you down, a few here have no lives and want nothing more than to be a thorn in everyones side. Keep us posted!

How many children did Estes and his son get on dope? God Bless you also!

I think it's great when a community can band together to get something done. I've preached it many times that with a little community involvement the police have a lot of opportunities to combat criminal activity that would not otherwise have. "TJH", as a small town cop, I applaud you and your group of proactive citizens for getting involved.

WORST OF THE WORST" WINNER 933 GUAM STREET Most homes in Wake Village are like that. Stop complaining. Isn't that what you moron's say about us people who live across the tracks. We knew what we had when we moved there. Well it is the same with the rest of the residence of Wake Village of Nash or Texarkana. Take what you have and just be happy! If you don't like that then you can do what they tell me. Move to another town. ;') So are you saying that soon the law will be pulling black people over and telling them they don't belong in this hood?

You don't have a choice in anything. I come there all the time. I have friends who I trucked with all my life that live there. They don't think much of their local law or official's either. This man and wife are near 70.

Hmm....I guess we'll never know but just for the records...God Bless! You have to ignore some persons on here. You and the rest are doing a fine job in the area with the neighborhood watch. You and the rest of the neighborhood watch group know that we in the Department will and do work with you on your issues and from the bust that was made the other day are just proof of that. Please continue with the efforts and we will continue to support you in those efforts. We can make a change in the neighborhood and have. We are working on the changes that were requested in the last City meeting and hope to have them completed shortly. Again if you see anything or need anything you know all you have to do is call. Thanks for all of your efforts. You can change your neighborhood and get the riff raff out but it takes not just the police but help from the people that live in the neighborhood to make those changes. As we told you, we hope this spreads throughout the city and we get neighborhood watch groups in all areas of the city.

I can tell you people that there are as many people to beware of living in the clean homes. Drugs. You people aren't thinking. Drugs don't care what home they live in. They don't care what color the person is. They don't care if the man wears a badge. I know people who live in the clean homes of Wake Village who are into trafficing that you will never touch. They more than likely will live there and pay taxes for the community. Having a neighbor hood watch group is like having Roger Dale Gentry leading it and wanting your grandchild to sit in his lap. We've seen what it did to cAss county. Duh!!!!

Why does every blog that has anything to do with law enforcement always end up referring to Dale Gentry?
This is almost like Bush-bashing.
It's history.

It all revolves around you and what happens to you. Most of it is brought on by you and your lifestyle. The Guam St. area of WV is similar to the Beverly area of Texarkana. The people doing meth usually can't afford a house at the end of Loma Linda St. You have first ammendment rights, but just because you are a criminal does not mean you are an expert on crime.

So people should keep up with history. Why not refer to Gentry? It's like reference to case law and things. Point is don't think you can truly trust these type of people. People keep your children off of the law enforcement officer's laps.

"The people doing meth usually can't afford a house at the end of Loma Linda St." That's not true! Some work the organized end some are abuser's and users and some are as you. Just living in the denial of the fact. Many people have learned how to use the drug for some time before loosing control of their finances or actualities. It's been many yr's from the time I made a mistake. Most people do make mistakes. They may not admit to it. Yet they do. Some just haven't been caught with that hand in the cookie jar so to say. Yet I'm no expert on anything except people and the legal system. The truth about the two is corruption and it breeds. It is true what has been said. A reporter once said he had met more trailer trash in the white house than any trailer park he'd ever seen. I thought he made a fine point.

I made it a point to drive up Guam on my way back to WV,(I WILL do it for some time to come). I dont have a problem giving them a quick beep of the horn and then a little nudge with the bumper if they are in fact blocking the street and not in a crosswalk. Didnt notice even one car parked on the street; much less anybody walking down the middle.
more later....
