when we will we get a local paper already -- we need a fresh list of crime weekly so we know whats going on around here

We're all lost without our paper. The Sun told me that they could not sell enough advertising in this area, so that''s why they took their paper out of the Heights. Hell, I would have been glad to pay a buck or two for that paper to make up the difference. The Neighborhood News is the only other paper that has articles of mostly Garfield, and once in a while Maple.

I heard and have been in touch with a newspaper called the county reporter. It's new but seems to only cover vague stories. There web site isnt up yet so they are a tellin me.

Sure do miss the local tabs, Ive heard rumblings that MH is in truble with the money. Cant be sure though I am out of town for awhile with a sick home-ee

I would love to have more of an online presence concerning Maple Heights, it only seems like xxxrayted would help.

We could have a good online news and community awareness forum but it just shows how active people are.

Even if xxx and I reported all the news from Maple Heights that we knew of it seems like only he and I would be commenting on it for the most part. No community involvement.

People just don't want to be involved.

This is true. Much like the topic about the double murder, most only chime in when something important happens. Fair Weathered bloggers. We should have a large group here sharing their stories on what's happening here and in Garfield all of the time.

Yes, the big news stories bring people out of the woodwork. They are never here any other time. Two regular posters. That's it.

The local level is the easiest to change but too many people concern themselves with the national level first. Even if things are going good at the local level, you need to pay attention so things will stay that way.
