I understand what you're saying. I don't do a lot of physical work driving a truck. It's more mental, but better than digging a ditch.

I had a girlfriend living with me one time, the same girl that now has H1N1. After work, I would lay in bed for about an hour. I didn't want to sit, I didn't want to stand, and I had to unwind.

One day she was ragging, and started complaining how I took my little naps. She was a waitress, and was on her feet all day. She said "I clean tables, run around trying to get the meals to people while they're still hot, have to vacuum my section twice per day, blah, blah, blah."

One day a friend of hers got a divorce and moved to Michigan. She had no license, so my girlfriend drover her up there and returned home. The first thing she did when she came home was jump into bed. I went to the bedroom and said "Why are you so tired? I had to clean this apartment, walk the dog three times, wash the dishes, blah, blah, blah." Then I started to laugh. She never used that line on me again. LOL!

Work is work no matter what you do. It's all tiring, especially when you've done the same work for many years.

What about the children. This isn't for Garfield Hts roads, this is for the kids....you know they won't have buses. If parents can't take the children some will be walking and small children to school for over 2 miles away...Do you know that there won't be community sports on school property either...sad day. A good school district raises property values.
first off MOM, let me ask you this, seriously do you OWN OR RENT???????? MAKES A DIFFERENCE..........SECONDLY, most schools dont have busses anymore, and they deal with it, so will you, we are sick and tired of paying for everything, its time to budget the budget and stop letting the thieves get away with this school levy abuse by threatening to take everything away from the kids
BS

Stealing is bad but it's not the kids fault. They already don't have text books in the Middle School....they have made tons of cuts...but now buses...wow. It's sad that property owners have to pay for schools in Ohio but that is how it is. We spend the least already in the county per child...now more cuts. Children are our future. And I will say it again... good schools = better property values
ps..........you will never raise the property values in Garfield, Maple or Bedford again, they are Hit and that is for good, if you think they will come back you are sadly dreaming........ a dream i wish for too, but i am realistic , its not going to happen, time to get your head out of the sand

Let me guess....a wagner supporter??? THE PROPERTY VALUES WILL INCREASE...Blame the school board? Do you have any knowledge? The blame is way higher than that...the school board is left to do the dirty work of removing services from the kids. You really have no clue nor knowledge about what you are talking about. I know you are entitled to your opinion...but don't state it as the FACTS when it is far from it.

You should take your own advice. Schools never increase property value unless it's a safe school which Maple will never be no matter how much money you dump into it.

THe United Sates spends more money per capita in education than any other industrialized country in the world. Yet, we rank somewhere in the middle when it comes to achievements.

I've been here through the last several school levies that were passed. Now I can purchase a home in Maple Heights for $14,000. So much for schools increasing property values.:-(

Unbelievable, you make my point for me. Schools do not guarantee a successful city. Sure, nice schools are great provided your child is safe in those schools. But when teachers get assaulted every week, riots break out after football games, metal detectors are needed to keep guns out of the school, and the campus is flooded with dangerous drugs, you can build those schools out of gold with an olympic swimming pool and it doesn't do crap for the city.

You have the same philosophy as this Mayor. Building new schools, erecting new swimming pools, building water parks, and what good did spending all these millions do us? Our F'n mailman can't deliver mail in broad daylight without getting gunned down for the twenty-dollars in his pocket. The Cleveland magazine rated Maple Heights as the second most dangerous suburb in Cuyahoga and surrounding counties. Think that will change with better schools?

Priorities are the key here. If you take 1/4 cup of sour, stale milk, and mix that with 3/4 cup of fresh wholesome milk. You only have one thing, and that is one cup of bad milk.

As I stated before...YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS....You are one of those people who do nothing but complain about anything, anyone. If you have such good ideas why didn't you run for Councilman, Mayor, School Board instead of sitting on line all day with Mapleman determining what is best for everyone else. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but you seem to think everyone is doing wrong while you have all the answers. Priorities are key? LEVIES HELP SCHOOLS...whether you like it or not...Again, someone with such knowledge on how to fix everything and you haven't run for an office...hmmmmm.....I am not responding anymore to you so have a nice day. I don't mean to be mean but you surely are not surprised that your girlfriend left are you?

Oh, obviously I'm speaking with somebody who has always had successful relationships. I didn't know that. Well...... since your relationships were so successful, you obviously only had one.

You don't have to run for office to have an opinion or understand what is going wrong. All you have to do is look around, listen to the police scanner, and find whatever news you can about your environment. And what's happening in Maple Heights is wrong. Opinion? Hardly. I have facts to back up my statements. One of which is that during the passage of the last several school levies, Maple Heights and it's schools continued to go downhill. Churches closed, businesses left town, rental units and stores are empty all over the city, and we continue to average three murders a year. This is not to mention the empty houses around here yet alone the property values.

MapleMan and I will continue our dialog as well as any other citizen of our city that doesn't want to bury their head in the sand and discuss the plight of our town. You can do whatever you like.
SAD DAYS
