My eldest daughter was shot years ago by a neighbor boy who had within the previous two weeks completed a gun safety class with his father. The (BB) was shot from a pellet rifle which had the force of a .22 caliber rifle. The "BB" entered her arm, traveling some 4 inches in the middle of her forearm traveling upward toward the elbow in the middle of the forearm. It remained stuck between two bones where she had to have major surgery to have it removed.
In the 1980's, when that occurred to my daughter, there was an estimated 30 people a year killed by pellet guns. BB guns also can kill a human being if the BB hits the right place on the body.
This guy who fired his pellet gun at people got off due to what I consider a bargain deal with the court. Unfortunately, I have found that Nevada lives in the ages back in the 1980's where guns and alcohol were evidently just part of young mens way of having a good time.
