It's too bad the CASD can't patronize a local orchardist, instead of one in the Waynesboro School District.

How much extra did this cost the locals in school taxes again this year? Nothing like buying top grade food to feed our students and have someone praised for it, while it's only costing the taxpayers more. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Ok, most school lunches are paid for by parents isn't that where most of the budget for food services comes from. How can you complain about buying local apples for our school students.(top of the line ) it's an apple not a conference for the so called facualty of the School district. Pick your battles more carefully this is not something to battle over. It's a APPLE.

Yes, we do pay for lunches, but they do had subsidsing of funds through taxes, I do compare Apples to Apples! My family has an orchard, I do know the difference!

If you tried to underbid, and you lost, it seems like I read somewhere that would mean you could sue. Check that out. Fair is fair.
