LeBlanc and Demoura need to sit down and read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Yeah, "Following up" on lawfull forearms owners lets just throw out the Fourth ammendment while they're at this as well.

Oh, wait did'nt the Lowell Police just sieze lawfully owned firearms fron a citizen, er I mean, subject who was the victim of a burglary just to "ckeck on him" ?

Who is checking on the police and politicians shredding the Constitution ?

By the way Katina Caraganis, needs better research skills too, there are FIVE levels of firearm licensing in MAssachuestts not two.

Restricted FID card,
FID card,
LTC-B,
LTC-A,
LYC- Automatic firearms or "machine gun license".

Then again that's the kind of hack journalism I've come to expect when reading a Ma. Newspaper.

Demoura needs to worry about "checking up" on the long list of criminals in his city that the liberal judges let off daily. Instead he goes about wasting time, valuable taxpayer money, and resources "checking up" on law abiding gun owners who are doing nothing but trying to defend themselves from these criminals.
Legal gun owners in this state already get plenty of check ups that violate their second amendment rights. In this state, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to find out if some one who buys guns legally is straw selling guns. Easy paper trail because of all the regulations....but sure...they want to be able to violate rights with checkups to jam up some legal gun owner on some small dumb storage violation so they can strip them of their permit/guns and rights. Instead of doing the hard work, and spending their time on finding real criminals and getting illegal guns off the streets.

Hmm, so they need to follow up?
Well, if a cop demands that you let him in your house to search without a warrant, how is that going to go? If the cop attempts to force his way in, you have a right to shoot that, or any other intruder. So make the honest citizen a criminal, great job.
How about enforcing the gun laws against the CRIMINALS in the first place!!
What a piece of crap article. Gun laws in Arizona are the problem? How about the complete failure of multiple agencies to note the fact that the shooter was mentally deranged?
The problem is the lax gun laws, because kids are exposed to violence on TV? How about doing something about the cavalier attitude that TV and the movies portray in regards to violence and guns?
This attitude is another example of the abject hypocracy that the Hollywood elite liberal filth spew out.. They create the problem and then demand that the law abiding suffer the consequences and are prevented from defending themselves.
Instead of more gun laws, perhaps a boycott hollywood campaign, or a political throw the bums out would be a better choice.
