Does anyone know of a facility that provides long term care for a person with frontal lobe damage? My son was at Brookhaven rehab. there in Gardner. With a frontal lobe damage we are talking about behavioral issues that prevents your standard nursing home from being able to provide proper care. Everything is geared towards independant living. This is the setting my son is in now but because of the severe outbursts, its hard to keep help. I would appreciate any thoughts on this topic or if you know of any family with the same situation please tell them about this thread. Thank you.

You might try checking out some of the care facilites that provide several levels of care in one or several units tied to together. you also might try checking out some of the alzehimer units in the metro area. There is an excellant one at rose hill and johnson drive. this might not be an answer but hope it helps, good luck

I'm sorry I'm just starting the journey after my husband was in a car accident and suffered a severe brain injury. One of our options are Brookhaven, so thought I would asked if you are pleased with the care they have given your son. I hope you find good care for him.
