Full story: Daily Breeze

Most of the kids at Gardena High who cause problem do not live in the city. Kick them out, and give Gardena back to its rightful community.

If Mr. Kennedy is a non-performer, why was he moved to a new position rather than let go? Politics? The "shuffle game" goes on and on and on and .....

Gardena's problems are socio-economic, therefore, these changes will do nothing.

Solution Part 1: Hire better teachers, fire the hundreds of lousy ones.
Solution Part 2: Hold parents accountable for troublemaking kids.
Solution Part 3: Reward good teachers and students.

How hard is this if there is a will for change?

The administration doesn't care for the students. The school receives more money from those out-of-town low lives and low test scores. For the school to really get in shape, it needs to leave LAUSD and form its own district. Seriously, LAUSD needs to DIE.

As an alumnus of GHS, it's pathetic of how bad the school has gotten. If residents of Gardena had an option to sent their kids to good schools, property values would be double than what they are now. This school is doomed with its current plan and maybe a charter program will help turn things around. I believe you can kick out the bad teachers under a charter system, but the greatest teachers in the world won't help kids that don't want to learn and don't have the parental support.

This is a fairly typical mode of getting a problem employee to give up a job he can't handle. "There is no success like failure".

The problem is obviously with the out of control Black and Hispanic kids that attend (not for an education). Their goal is for all the after school fights that happen every day. Humm what do you think the problem is??? I do not except socioeconomics as an excuse for their bad behavior. Pouring more money at a problem (Mr Obama) doesn't solve the problem.
