Since approximately 1995, I have been a member of thr Sparrows' Club. A few days ago, a good friend of mine who is 96 years old asked me the following question: "What happened to the young Robert Schuller as he is no longer on the Hour of Power the past couple of weeks?" I told her that I had not been able to watch the program for a couple of weeks, so I thought maybe he was gone on a Religious Retreat. What shock to find out on your web site this morning informing the world of your decision to dismiss your son from delivering any more sermons. May our prayers be heard these days for our United States President election. Our country is in a turmoil; and I am very sorry to hear "Hour of Power" has a difference of opinions, also. A friend in Christ--

I'm so surprised to hear the news that the younger Schuller will no longer be on the program "Hour of Power". I'm taken aback that these two men of God who are father and son cannot agree over something. How can our nation heal itself if this family can't?

Sorry to hear about this. My wife and I thought that Schuller, Jr. was doing a great job. We enjoyed his preaching very much.

In fighting obesity, I would like exercise programs on T.V. In Central USA , I only find one Denise Austin from 6:30 a.m. Is it possible to have one channel "all day" of exercise . We have several channels of just "food programs" all day. Exercise programs could be creative for the elderly, working and children.
Please pass this on to someone who can give us some help.

I had mentioned to my wife recently how I too wondered what happened to young Robert A. since he's not been on the Hour of Power for several weeks. I, as a 40+ year church organist and a believer in Jesus Christ, had been so INSPIRED and ENCOURAGED in my faith by the Hour of Power's music, guests, AND PREACHING of the Word of God by the young Robert A. Schuller. Especially his being open to the flow of the Holy Spirit,--not being afraid to even alter the morning's "order of service", e.g. when HUNDREDS of congregants came forward to give their life to Jesus Christ and for baptism after Evil Knievel's testimony on Palm Sunday.(Excerpt: "On Palm Sunday, Knievel was present for worship at the church. His boldness in sharing his faith in Christ and following Him in baptism publicly inspired others to do the same - more than 500 people that one morning service alone!") I pray for the "healing" of this father and son relationship and for God to use this ministry as He (God) chooses for His Glory, Honor & Praise!!

I to am concerned how ever none of us know the facts or the circumstances ,so please do not be judgemental or criticalwe don't know .however we can be a positive influence if we bring this matter before THE FATHER IN PRAYER and ask the HOLY SPIRIT TO INTERVENE IN JESUS NAME . Many years ago I was in desperate trouble and I wrote to the CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL for pray , I couldn't see my wy out of my big problem ,5 weeks after I sent that request I had a miracle occur in my lifeGOD HEARD and their prayers were answered for me Yes we can help in prayer. I have supported the Hour of Power for many years but with some reservation; am I supporting God's work on earth or building up the Schuller name. I am glad this is finally being addressed. God will bless a Ministry that places him first.

Dr. Schuller, My wife and I are very disappointed in the direction that the Hour of Power is taking. Your son, Robert, was reaching people for Jesus Christ that were hungrey for the word. We visited your church on Palm Sunday a year ago when Evel Kinevel was the guest. You baptised him and the spirit came down on the congregation like had never happened before. Many countless people stood in line to be baptised. What a revival that was! A church is a hospital for sinners and the mission of the church should be to preach the gospel, baptism them and make deciples. Please reconsider reinstating Robert to preach again. God Bless You.

To Robert II: How devastated you must feel. I know you think that you tried and failed to walk in your father's footsteps. But you didn't. Your job in this life isn't to follow in your father's footsteps. Your job is to follow in Our Father's footsteps.

Father knows best. Not knowing all the facts about Robert H. removing Robert A. it's hard to give and informed opinion.

Having been and Eagles Club member for a few years I will assume Robert H. has done what he thought best for the Crystal Cathedral. Remember the ministry started at a drive-in theater. Under the direction of Robert H. it has grown steadly. I have no doubt Robert H. consulted God first before making his decision.

I am so disappointed in the direction that the Crystal Cathedral has taken with the absence of Robert Jr......is this the true meaning of being a Christian? Robert Jr was an inspirationa and if anything Robert Sr should be so very proud of the work and commitment he has made over the years to his fathers ministry. I have now begun watching Joel Osteen as I want the word of Jesus Christ and His teachings in the bible to permeante and fill my soul. This is so very sad...raising a son and then a grandson to follow a wonderful ministry to only have it dissolve...there is no conflict that can not be worked out and compromise between people...Gos teaches us this.

I had been devoted to watching The Hour od Power since first it came into TV, BUT...I could not watch the younger Schuller because of the way he shoved his NEW wife onto the stage every time...I understand that she broke up his first marriage, and therefore he lost HIS church and then came in onto his fathers strong fillowing He did not come across as being called into the service of doing God's will or work...not to this LADT So, I had stopped watching him get up there, all puffed up with hi,self and his NEW wife !!!!!!
