Of course he will start his own ministry, he knows how to draw in the suckers with his phoney preaching. Fool and his money are soon parted....

Seems to me that old pops at 82 would be quite willing to let the son have the stage. Old pops isn't going to be around much longer and there comes a day that he would be well served to shut up and let the son have the say.

I wonder why they don't practice what they preach?

The reality of the situation is very likely that the ministry was losing audience and support since the son took over. Perhaps they felt that the son could have a different calling, if the decline could lead to the end of the TV ministry and their entire mission at the extensive campus. It might help if the son would be forthcoming about a different calling and come on the broadcast and make a cordial, Christian, graceful exit to undertake new missions.

I was very upset when I heard about the problems withing "hour of power" religious program. I have followed this paster for over twenty years maybe if they practiced what they have always preached "God loves you, and so do we". things would be a lot better

Ihavefollowed this paster on tv for over twenty years. I was shocked and dismayed over what is going on in this church. Maybe if they would really practice what they preach "God loves you and so do we"

IT WORKS THE SAME in any church. There are certain factions that rule the roost and have things their way. If they givr BIG, they will run things as they see fit. I have seen it happen. The rule of thunb is, If you don;t bring in the DOUGH, then OUT you go.

For over 20 years I have watched the Crystal Cathedral and I love Robert, Sr. I have been blessed to attend CC 6 times plus one Easter production. I really missed Robert, Sr. when he first stopped preaching full time, and saw a drift between the two when Robert, Jr. stopped wearing the robe. That was my first indication that things were changing that might not be considered the best for CC and it's ministries as it has become known and loved over these 50 years. Donna is a wonderful woman, and I like Robert, Jr. but if he was making changes that were detrimental to the life of this ministry as it is known in all of the world, then perhaps it was time for dad to step up to the plate. I hope that it does not negatively influence Robert, III, in due time and perhaps Robert, Jr will find his own ministry to build and follow in his dad's footsteps that way.

I'll vouch for that, I was a member of a local United Methodist Church for 25 Years.I volenteered my time and services to help them out at NO cost to them.and they werem't happy with that. THEY WANTED MONEY to send to places they couldm;t see how it was being spent. I finally left when one of the "money Boys" told me to "let someone else handle that".That was 15 years ago. I wonder how well they handled it?
