What's live entertainment going to hurt? It probably will bring more business to the neighboring strip clubs, adult stores and prostitution...
Really, don't the strippers dance? How did they get a permit?

This place is a dump, owners cant help it, cheap drinks attract ghetto cheap baldies, and its located in the armpit of city of industry. sounds like they didnt abbide by the rules of the no entertainment therefore breaking a law making their closure lawful. Things happen for a reason move your business to a nicer place of town. wish em luck either way.

I bet there were a lot of calls to the cops (fights, arguements) etc. all the typical stuff that happens at many bars. This is probably why they are making it tougher for them to get their business license back.

I agree that the owner's should have done it right the first time, and I'll bet that the strip clubs are taking care of city officials as well.
I just want to know when Cheri is working so I can check her out!!!

It is nice to see a group of BUROCRATES STANDING UP FOR THEIR CITY. HELL, THEY LET THE OTHER CRAP IN AND MAYBE THEY ARE REGRETTING IT NOW . CLEAN UP YOUR ACT EX-COP AND MAKE A PLACE THAT FAMILIES CAN ENJOY INSTEAD OF DRAGGING THE COMMUNITY IN TO MORE DEATHS, BROKEN HOMES AND LOST DRUNK YOUTHS FULL OF PREGNANT TEENS AND LIVES FILLED WITH POVERTY AND DISPAIR. YOU NEED TO DEVELOP SOME CHARACTOR, SON. OBVOUSLY BEING A COP TAUGHT NOTHING BUT HOW TO PILAGE A COMMUNITY.

Right on, that is what it boils down to, follow the conditions of your permit. Yeah times are tough, deal with it, everyone else is. Should we expect the strip club to start offering bj's and other illegal sexual favors to compensate for the economic decline?

And I am willing to bet that the State Department of Alcohol (ABC) is also in concurrence for the suspension of the business license. Obtaining an alcohol license is no easy task and most municipalities are reluctant to approve new ones because of all the "issues" associated with them, hence the reason they put restrictions on them such as time restrictions, no dancing, or no live entertainment...etc. Heck, we are all pointing at the City for the revocation, but you have to remember that the City Council (residents of Industry) revoked the license and Im sure the Industry Sheriffs station and ABC were all involved.

they are probably going to add another strip joint or expand spearmint rhino. it's too much. why shut the doors on them? the 5150 owners should of had their permits or else this wouldn't happen. probably the city knew about this dancing and dining place and shut them for good to make room for an adult business to open. guess what more illegal activities are in the works at this location. the women who work in the spearmint rhino are whores.

You know 5150 is a cool a place. I use to go there constantly and I will pray that they get something from the city for shutting them down like that. It was a good atmosphere and I don't know why they didn't want the live entertainment. Parking?? Geesh that wasn't an issue at all. It's a bar in a huge shopping center. Every single business besides the strip club was close, so parking wasn't an issue. They were starting to do pretty damn good. I miss 5150.
The city shoudln't have done that. Now there are more people in the unemployment line.......

So let me get this straight...the city said the club could not have live entertainment or dancing. The club did it anyway. The city issued fines for breaking the law. The club continued to break the law. The city shut down the club. And somehow this is unfair? The Cotas represent one of the major problems in America; idiots who break the law, then sue.

And I love Cheri Cota's statement, "This is a family-owned business." What kind of family names its business 5150, which "comes from law enforcement code for a person with psychiatric problems who is considered a danger to themselves and others." I guess that statement clears up any questions I had.
I hope I am on the jury.

Sounds like fun, but you still have to travel a little. Open spaces, fresh air, reasonable home prices, the four changing seasons, are a small price to pay for quality of life. Its getting more crowded here everyday. First cabin in Arcadia, I'll check it out on line. Thanks.

Yup. You've got it right...seems most aren't getting that this business failed to follow the law.

As far as it being a "family business"? Sounds like the "Cota's' ran the business and their famlies put up the money for it...it was failing...so they attempted to draw more patrons by adding dancing and entertainment which violated their permit.
I too want a seat on the jury!

I think they should have looked into the permit for dancing BEFORE they opened the club. You don't open a bussiness with out looking into rules and regulations first. Bad planning on the owners. You can't cry over something you didn't have and knew you couldn't have if you did your homework.

Yes the city is trying to clean up that area. That shopping center were the club and 5150 is has been linked to drugs, prostitution, and money laundering. That is the real reason they are in bussiness, they all get a peace of the money. Thumbs up to the city officials wanting to clean up the city.
