The convicted Computer Associates Exec, Sanjay, had annual salaries published in Newsday of $300 million, not counting his stock earnings in his company stock. So, the brilliant Federal "don't catch a thief" Government of USA took forever ( 2002 to 11/2006) to begin freezing what little remaining personal assets this crooked Exec didn't yet unload. What a beautiful rewarding message our Federal Bungling Government conveys to the public, and to other crooked Execs who see the actions on poor little Sanjay as clear indication that greed, fraud, and the rest of the white collar criminal activity is OK, by Uncle Sam. Now the stockholders and other creditors only get to share in a measly $52 million Sanjay got tired of transferring to the untouchable family.
Our great legal system and handling of another white collar crime for sure!

Lets see how many years Sanjay actually spends in jail.
Does this means a divorce in the making?

'The Kumars actually have a smaller home nearby, a property that Sanjay Kumar sold to his wife in May for more than $3.1 million. Last November, a state Supreme Court justice agreed to a CA lawsuit asking for Kumars' assets to be frozen because the husband began in 2002 to transfer more than $20 million in assets to his wife and daughters as federal investigators delved into possible crimes.'

just goes to prove that white collar crime pays - this is the most spectacular property in upper brookville and it goes to a criminal and his family - all bought with money stolen and not recoverable. My conclusion is that the overall gain from this crime far outweighs the penalties. These foreigners have got to be laughing at us american fools. This is a disgrace. These are the type of people, often foreigners, who ride around in their benz's and park in the handicapped spots and buy all the designer goods they can up a miracle mile and look down at us "common americans" with their nose in the air.

How very sad that Kumar went so far only to let greed ruin him and his family. I mean, how much is enough? Now his wife and children will be without him for 12 years. Was it worth it?

Being "without him" is the best thing that could have happened to his wife and family.

I happen to agree with the comments that he got away with a lot and the tranfers to his wife are ridiculous, but this comment made is what shows that some people that write about these theives are worse than those they comment about. How ignorant and stupid do you have to be to make comments like the one made here. Don't you get that by being such an obvious bigot, even the points that we agree with end up being things that we have no choice but to demean!!

sounds like you are jealous for what you don't or can't have. They are clearly wrong but don't generalize their behaviour to all people you don't classify as Americans. You live in Syosset which I know has a huge diverse population, don't put down all that diveristy because of one thief!!!!

There definitely is not a divorce in the making. Miserable, nosey people. Worry about your own lives.

I am perplexed on how you have your 'finger on the pulse' of what's happening in Upper Brookville all the way from Philly, Misery, don't you have enough gossip to disperse along the Main Line? I don't blame Mrs. Sanjay Kumar from wanting to split from this metropolitan malaise to a clean start elsewhere. Just watch out for the goldiggers, madam.

better judgement, you act like philadelplhia is a world away from long island..like it's on the moon or something.....MLC is obviously friends with the Kumars...And I agree with her...people are so miserable in their own lives, they have to tear other people down in order to hopefully feel better about themselves....Kumar is paying his debt to society, and is apparently doing exactly what any of us would do if we were in his situation...he's trying to take care of his family within the letter of the law...It sucks, but it is what it is...We should criticize the government and the laws, and leave the personal and racist attacks out of the conversation.

You have no clue what really transpired. The US Department of Justice is the most corrupt organization in the world. The Federal courtrooms in this country are empty because no one can go the distance with these bastards. The judges are all former prosecutors-that's pretty fair. These cretins are so corrupt. The plea bargain is destroying whatever system they have by getting liars to rat on others to save their own skins. Doesn't matter whether they lie or not. The Feds win 98% of the time. Not quite as good as Hitler's or Stalin's systems who were 100%. There are hundreds of thousands of people in jail who are innocent because they had no choice but to take a deal. The scumbags in the government have no money constraints. The prison population now sits at 2.5 million with no end in sight. 50 million Americans have a record of some kind. Kumar took his company 's stock from nothing to $75 which thousands making millions on CA stock. What money did he steal? He fucked up but 12 years? The scumbag feds love high profile cases to show that the 98% of the prison population , who are poor minorities, that no one is above the law. Nobody deserves 12 years for what he did. Complete bullshit.
