My family moved from Huntington, West Virginia to Garden City, Michigan in 1972. I attended Marquette Elementary for the 72-74 school years. I was there for my 2nd and 3rd grade years. My family moved back to WV in the summer of 74 due to my grandmothers health. I recently found my yearbook and would love to know if anyone from my 3rd grade class is on here and how they are doing. My teacher was Miss. Straub. I have first names written in the book but no last names. My name is Carol Meadows. There are 3 boys in scout uniforms. The first names I have in my book for them are David, Joey and possibly Toney or another Joey. A few of the girls names are Debbie, Norma, Mary, Hope, and Michelle. There are 29 kids in my class. If you were a part of this class or any other class I would love to hear from you. Is the school still there? I have lived in WV since my family moved back in 74. Thanks, Carol

Carol, I attended Marquette elementary during the years mentioned. I was also in the third grade during the 73-74 school year. My teacher was Ms. Kulju. I can't recall how many teachers there was for the third grade, but I did have two friends named David and Joey and since they weren't in my class maybe they were in yours provided there were only two teachers for that grade. They did tear down the school sometime in the mid-nineties and replace it with houses. It was pretty sad for me because that was a big piece of my childhood memories. I did go up there with a video camera in the early nineties and recorded the outside of the building. That's all I have. I wish I would have kept my yearbooks. Without pictures, it's like it never existed. If there was any way you could scan the pictures in questioned maybe I could help you. I'm at zub1965@juno.com. Thanks, Todd

Todd, There were 3 third grade teachers that year, Mrs. Kulju, Miss Mitchell, and Miss Straub. I still have my yearbook! David and Joey were both in my class. I will scan the three 3rd grade pics and send them to you. I have a lot of first names written in the book. When we first moved to Garden City my family stayed with my dad`s friend {or he might have been a relative. He had 3 daughter Tershanda in 4th grade, Misty in kindergarten and Rochelle who had not started school yet. I`m pretty sure they were Howards his first name Darrel not sure about his wife. My family bought a house on John Hawk street. There was a tornado that hit near Garden City in the spring of 74, 2 weeks later my family had already moved back to WV. Carol
