I worked with Dan years ago, and am proud of what he is doing. Its good to see someone is trying to give these missing people a "voice". And hopefully his hard work will give some closure to these families. Keep it up Dan!

i would like to reply to your comment: people have died in my family it seems our family experience it every year, but to tell me people die to get on with, i do everyday that does not mean that i want my cousins life to be treated like a bag of garbage. He has family that loves him very much, he has children who deserves for their father to have proper treatment just like any one else. we dont know where his body is or anything because the cops are protecting the guilty. and let me tell you his family all of us deserve to see that we get closure. hope you never have to experience a loved one going missing and people tell you he was a victim of foul play. no one deserves that.

What an awful thing to say. You have obviously never had anyone that you cared about a great deal pass away or actually come up missing and never seen or heard from again. The only thing that makes any sense in your statement is probably your horrible name!

I am concerned about a missing person by the name of Robert Tennison (Bobby), who has been missing sdince the beginning of this year. He was a life long friend of mine and considered to be as close as a relative. I was just wondering how the investigation on him was going or if it was even in progress. thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely S.D.R.

i was thinking about the similarity of Chelse King, Amber (?) they both had slightly redish hair.(and were tragicly murdered) They made me think of Karen Mitchel and kristine Walters as there were similare looks in these young girls. Has the deputy thought of linking these togeather? I know this might be a stretch but if maybe there may be something?

Wondering, I think the age of the perp in the Chelsea King and Amber Dubois case is too young to have anything to do with Karen Mitchell - he is only 30. Karen disappeared about 15 years ago. I don't know the Walters case.

What is similar is we keep hearing the same story of a young woman being brutally raped and murdered, or gone missing and never found. We need to stop this, first by changing our laws so violent fiends never get out of jail, second by changing our culture so men honor women. The way our culture is now, men are encouraged to be tough, uncaring, and lack emotions. They are encouraged to see women as sex holes and housemaids, not human beings. We should encourage them to value women and girls, to be involved in caring for children, to be a man by being responsible and caring, not by cutting off his emotions. IMHO

Is this the same Dan Paris who was in charge of the Yurok Tribal Police in Klamath for about fifteen minutes? If so, and your faith in mankind was not destroyed by that experience you are definitely the man for this job. Good luck to you. You are a fine human being. I am glad you got our of that s&&& hole.

No, that was Dave Parris who is currently the Coroner, previous to that he worked for Eureka Police Department. I have worked for the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office for 31 years and just recently retired.

I am looking for information on recent (with in the last 5 years) missing persons cases with a possible common link of highway 101 in Humboldt county. Recently my stepson "lost" his mother somewhere north of Orick. She liked to pick up hitch-hikers. Looking for any information or leads including cold cases that might have ANY similarities. I did a google search or Dan Paris and it brought me here.
Thank you.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
