this is typical of this town, when I moved here I thought it was going to be a quiet nice hamlet to bring my family up in, but the "locals" don't want change and they just see us as raising the taxes. They like their noise, their tricked out cars racing up and down the scenic streets and the drunken behavior. Even the middle aged adults act like spoiled teenagers with no rules. It is terrible.

Yes I agree with this post of schuylerville. it has gotten really terrible over the last few years. especially some of the main streets in town, you see all of these really nice houses and nothing but white trash lives in them. You know who you are.....they suck.

phew! dodge a bullet there! about a month ago i almost moved to schuylerville. i was always under impression that it's a nice little town (just like the first post said). the apartment rent was really cheap and we were hoping to get it, but it was offered to another couple first and they took it. at first we were disappointed. but now, after reading these posts, i'm glad it worked out this way.

Unfortunate, but partially true. The town has so much history and significance. It's unfortunate that it ended up being the modern day Saratoga ghetto!

I have to agree with some of these posts. I was also under the impression that Schuylerville would be a nice quiet place to raise a family. The schools are outstanding, which somewhat makes up for the towns shortcomings. Luckily, in the short time I have lived here I have seen subtle improvements. I do think there is hope for Schuylerville.
