It's a physical disgrace to our neighborhood and disrespectful to the people who live here to have these huge billboards mounted in a place and in a way that causes a rift in the visual and aesthetic makeup and feeling of our close, relaxed and friendly community. It is horrendous that we may have to look at this odious display on a daily basis. We are not 42nd Street and 9th Avenue nor do we wish to become 42nd Street and 9th Avenue. If the hotel has any consideration at all for its neighbors and the neighborhood within which it is housed it will take this offensive structure down immediately and not entertain any similar ideas just for the sake of making money. Sometimes, there are more important considerations in life than making an even larger profit upon the one you are already enjoying.
