Workers begin dismantling St. Patrick's in Watervliet

Jan 11, 2013 Full story: WTEN-TV Albany 7

The group clearing out the church isn't letting any items go to waste. An Atlanta-based company is charged with removing all of the artifacts inside, and instead of discarding the items; the group actually rehabs and refurbishes them to be used in other churches.

Didn't the people of Watervliet give when they
didn't have much to give to help in the building of the Church? Responsible citizens should be offered to chance (free) to receive some of the
smaller items i.e. smaller statue for the yard.
Please excuse me if I am not correct and items
were offered that meant so much to many.

They *donated*. The church is under no obligation to return it.

Better a small statue be re-purposed in another church than to end up inside a bathtub shrine in someone's backyard.

Who says...the earlier people in Watervliet gave to build that church in tough times when they didn't have much themselves.
the church "is under no obligation to return it" but wouldn't it
be a courtesy/charitable thing to do. Even if they had a sale on
the smaller religious items as keepsake. I wish I had a memory
from St. Casimir's in Albany...take care now.

Walk by and pick up a few pieces of stone, brick, wood, etc and then use your creativity to create some sort of art from them.
