I lived in Gamaliel, Ky. until I was 17 years old. I graduated from dear old GHS. Is there anyone who has fond memories about growing up in Gamaliel or Monroe Co.?

Goodness, I'm old enough to be your mother! I graduated in 1964. I like to visit in Gamaliel every time I get a chance which isn't all that often. I keep up with what's going on by e-mail and the Tompkinsville News.

I live in Gamaliel now and I would not want to raise my daughter anywhere else. I am glad others share in the joy of the town. My mother in law graduated sometime back then from Gamaliel also, she is 62.

I have been away from Gamaliel so long that I don't know a lot of people anymore. I still have several cousins there and was able to see all of them a few weeks ago. Gamaliel will always be home to me.

It is a wonderful place to live. I do not want to have to raise my child. My mother in law was a Turner if that should help.

I have fond memories of gamaliel also, my grandparents lived there thier whole lives (paul & Hazel England) my mother (louise) graduated GHS in 57' I believe. Yes we would go down for Christmas and Fourth of July and it was always like stepping into another world there. Everything there moved a little slower and you were always able to stop and enjoy the small things. From plying on the GHS playground to walking through town eating at the little diner (used to be Taylors)playing rook, going shopping at Crowes, or shooting cans up at grandpas old farm. My grandparents are gone now and I haven't been there for a while, I always have a fond place in my heart for Gamaliel and think of that place often. I Pray for all of you...take care of her!

I have and will always have fond memories of growing up near Gamaliel and graduating from Gamaliel High School. I graduated in 1965 and that is the one thing missing from Gamaliel, the powers to be put an end to Gamaliel High School as we all know who graduated there. The rivalry Tompkinsville High school was so much fun during the basketball season I will never forget those days.
My compliments to C DeHart my knephew on his coments about his grandparents (my parents) and visiting my parents treated all their kids and grandkids so special like each one of them was just as important as ther other which is a lesson every parent and grandparent could learn from them, Heaven is a little brighter with my mom and dad up there, I know and feel like at times they are watching in on us. How I would like to go back to my life as a kid on the farm once again how sweet it was. I now have a really great sweet family I am blessed with the sweetest wife ever two of the most wonderful sons and a really sweet daughterinlaw and two beautiful daughters from a previous marriage. I only hope I can make a difference in their lives the way my folks and others before me have.
Gamaliel will always be like home to me. I will never forget my old classmates and people I grew up with. I am sure dont remember me.
Gamaliel is a sweet little piece of Kentucky. GO BIG BLUE BASKETBALL

All the Turners are great people.I leaved next to them back in the 60's. Those were some of the best times of my life. I haven't seen ant of them in a while.

That's us our family moved when us kids was so small we don't remember ever living there but someday would love to spend a weekend just looking around.
