Oh, boo-hoo. To say Geronimo wasn't a terrorist is disgusting. Like Bin Laden, he got his thrills by indiscriminately killing women and children. Never has an American military mission been so aptly named.

Osama, Obama....Marshall Davis, Rhashid Khalidi, Saul Alinksy, George Soros, Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, Allison Davis, Cecil Butler, John Podesta, Al Gore, Valerie Jarret, Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Franklin Raines, Jeffrey Immelt, Andy Stern....

What's in a name? OR A CZAR?

Hell, Obama's appointed a cabinet and cadre of czars comprised of avowed-communists, pro-abortion, anti-free-speech, anti-gun, anti-free market, anti-business, pro-illegal, wealth redistribution and healthcare-rationing advocates, union bosses, Goldman lobbyists, and inexperienced radicals including Van Jones, Katherine Sebelius, Mark Llloyd, Anita Dunn, Richard Holbrooke, Jeffrey Crowley, Kenneth Feinberg, Earl Devaney, Daniel Fried, John Brennan....

...And Cass Sunstein (Regulatory Czar), the liberal activist judge who stated that "free speech needs to be limited for the common good", while also believing in "Explicit Consent" (harvesting human organs without family consent), and allowing animals to be represented in court, while banning all hunting.

...And union boss Ken Bloom (Manufacturing Czar), who stated that "we all know that the free market is nonsense. We kind of agree with Mao [Tse Tung] that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun".

...And John Holdren (Science Czar) who believes in forced abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies from teen mothers.

...And Kevin Jennings (Safe School Czar), a homosexual and organizer of a group called Gay, Lesbian, Straight, and the Education Network who uses taxpayer funds for "Fisting Kits" to teenagers.

Also remember who appointed a radical La Raza activist to the SCOTUS, followed by the incompetent radical leftist Kagan, who believes that government has the right to dictate what Americans can eat, along with government censorship and believing that gun ownership is not a right!

It was a very deeply racist decision, even if done without malice. But "Geronimo" is only one of a handful of Native American name most whites even know.

From Las Cruces, New Mexico. Just another example of the culturally deficient Christian hegemony of our military and government who couldn't care less about the inappropriateness of using Geronimo's name. A close-to-home example is the taking of the Zia Pueblo's symbol and making it the State of New Mexico's symbol, to be modified and used as a symbol of adoration of the Christian Trinity on state government property.

American native tribes deserve all the respect and reverence due them, including Geronimo. But it really seems like everyone is being a little sensitive on this one. New Mexico's Apache and Navajo can count many American war heroes among them. No one meant any disrespect to them, or to native tribes.

Jeeeez, ok so if the DOD had named the mission "Billy the Kid" would all of the white criminals be offended? This was a white man, a criminal admired by other by criminals, who killed many in his streak. Do you really think everyone would be offended if the mission was named after Billy? Or perhaps maybe they should have named the mission "Ben Franklin" or "Lincoln"......it is just a name. Yes, I do know the pain that has been suffered by Native Americans but I think this is being blown way out of proportion and there are different ways to bring attention to your cry for sympathy again. Personally, I think that Native Americans' ancestors would be very angry with how the generations after them have gone downhill. Look at all the suffering that the older generations went through and now, most of the Native Americans that I know of well they are all alcoholics who do absolutely nothing with their lives. Unfortunately this is the reality that is associated with modern Native Americans.

To all the white bigots out there that watch Fox news and are ignorant. Why not use the code name Fruit Loops? Or does that make too much sense? Secretly, though, we know what all the Fox Nazi Republicans wished the code name was...."Obama"

Oh c'mon! Like the Europeans that came to the new world didn't rape, pillage and kill the indigenous people of the Americas and other corners of the world, just to rob them of their natural resources?? Most recently, WHO were the invaders in Iraq and Afghanistan? Geronimo stood up to the oppressive Governments of the U.S. and Mexico, because he didn't like how they were treating his kind. Give me a break!! Geronimo was a fearless leader, the Apache is by far one of the greatest guerilla fighters of all time.
The paratroopers of WWII used it as a battle cry as well as the name of the mountain Qurahee(spelling is wrong)which I think is also Indian. I think the Apache should be honored to have such a fierce fighter's name used on such an important mission.
It's time to get rid of all this political correctness b s. History is what it is, no matter how much people try you can't change it!!

Give me a break, if they had called bin Laden "Bozo" all the clown lovers would say it was a slur against the circus. People have been saying "Geronimo" when they parachute out of a plane for decades.

Pretty ignorant commenton your part. The US military has been killing innocent civilians in the middle east since this war began.

The A bomb also killed a few innocent Japanese.
