In the 80's Gallup was Thug City, Little LA, the shame of the tribal nation. In the 90's still Little LA but Drunk Town USA was added to the nick names. Do you feel Gallup is the same or are they better?
Are there still gangs taking over?
Drunks walking the streets?

Gallup is still the same and it always will be, The natives get money from the government on the first of every month and since alcohol isn't allowed on the reservation they litter the streets of Gallup, drunk and passed out on sidewalks, at the parks, behind restaurants, EVERYWHERE... and the cycle never ends, they are either drunk in town or blowing their money at the Fire Rock Navajo Casino a couple miles east.... something needs to be done here ASAP.

Problem is the old time officers in this town are being paid off by drug dealers to let them know when it's raid time, or whenever their name is mentioned the old timer tells the dope man lay low for a while. And they offer so many junkies the opportunity to SNITCH off some people n they can go free. So they keep committing more crimes in which get more n more violent with the same SNITCHES over n over n over. Harrasment by Narcotics officers whom lose cases due to careless, wreckless evidence procedures, lack of REAL EVIDENCE begin harassing individuals whom have successfully completed the sentence imposed. Threatening someone else's freedom to help narcs strum up some fake charges on an individual trying to do right. Actually the police officers are the thugs they have created this total chaos n rampid take over by heroin n meth. Too busy chasing the nobodies to know what's really up.
As far as addicted umfortunate alcoholics in this town. Well they can thank their own people for their addictions. For the loss of life of someone whom is addicted whom passed from exposure, and/or all other fatalities. The Navajo nation has several casinos. They are taking the money out of elders infants mentally handicapped individuals and puts it straight in their pockets. They are destroying their own. They have also REFUSED TO ASSIST MCKINLEY COUNTY W DRUG N ALCOHOL TREATMENT facilities for their people being that 98% of detox is Navajo individuals. Whom are sleeping in ditches alleys etc. DUI CRASHES ARE 98% NAVAJO ALSO I WISH MCKINLEY COUNTY WOULD CHARGE NAVAJO NATION FOR FUNERAL SERVICES OR HOSPITAL BILLS FOR THE ACCIDENTS THEY CAUSE WITH THEIR DRINKING N DRIVING. Honestly wish they would stay out on the Reservation kill their own people. Sick of officials turning a blind eye and allowing this non sense to continue. It's sickening how the navajos can walk past their own laying passed out, freezing, urinated/defecated on themselves or dead because they were walking in middle of road. ONE DAY THE NAVAJO NATION WILL RECEIVE A PACKAGE DELIVERY FROM A FED UP GALLUPIAN AND IT SHALL BE THEIR PEOPLE INTOXICATED. TAKE CARE OF YOUR PEOPLE PEOPLE!
WE NEED SOMEONE FROM STATE CAPITAL TO COME AND INVESTIGATE OUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TO ENSURE WE GET THE REAL CRIMINALS BEHIND BARS.
