You went nuts when junk plans weren't included. So we included them. Then you went nuts because we changed the law to include them.

Mudslides & Global Warming
Mar. 26, 2014

There is no natural phenomenon these days that is not somehow linked to a (non)warming world.

Slate's Eric Holthaus wasted no time blaming the recent devastating mudslide in Oso, Washington, on the side effects of global warming.“One of the most well-forecast and consequential components of human-caused climate change is the tendency for rainstorms to become more intense as the planet warms,” he writes.“As the effect becomes more pronounced, that will make follow-on events like flooding and landslides more common. But we don't have to wait for the future. This is already happening.”

Yet according to the Associated Press,“A scientist working for the government had warned 15 years ago about the potential for a catastrophic landslide in the fishing village where the collapse of a rain-soaked hillside over the weekend killed at least 14 people and left scores missing.”
Holthaus admits in the same article that the “disaster occurred in an area known for its landslides.”

But like all alarmists, he just couldn't resist provoking the debate.

Poll: Harry Reid has higher unfavorable numbers than the Koch Brothers
03/25/2014

Senate majority leader Harry Reid, desperately trying to create a conservative bogeyman for the 2014 election cycle, often takes to the Senate floor to lambast the billionaire Koch Brothers for their political contributions to conservative groups.

But a George Washington University Battleground poll released Tuesday indicates that more people have an unfavorable impression of the Nevada lawmaker than the Kochs. Thirty-five percent of those polled say they have a negative impression of Reid, compared to 25 percent for the Kochs.

Harry Reid to refund his campaign $17K for holiday gifts
March 25, 2014

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is refunding his campaign nearly $17,000 that went to his granddaughter’s jewelry company, several news outlets report.

The move comes after the Federal Election Commission officials questioned the payments from Reid’s campaign. In a letter sent last week, federal regulators asked for details about “holiday gifts” that his campaign funded.

Campaign reports show two payments to Ryan Elisabeth, but Nevada political journalist Jon Ralston said the recipient’s full name is Ryan Elisabeth Reid, the Nevada Democrat’s California-based granddaughter.

78% Favor Proof of Citizenship Before Being Allowed to Vote
March 25, 2014

A federal judge last week upheld the right of states to require proof of citizenship before allowing someone to register to vote. Voters continue to overwhelmingly support such a requirement.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 78% of Likely U.S. Voters believe everyone should be required to prove his or her citizenship before being allowed to register to vote. That’s up from 71% a year ago. Just 19% oppose that requirement.

There's definitely some serious speculation involved. But by the same logic, you should never claim cold weather is evidence against climate change. And please don't ever forward the notion that we can pump 27 billion metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere and deforest 40 million acres a year and there be no environmental effect. That's just dumb.

Bush has admitted to international war crimes, hence he is an admitted international war criminal.
There are dozens of estimates on Iraq ware dead, ranging from 600,000 to 1.4 million. One million is the average. Take whichever figure you like. Either way, he is a mass murdere who invaded a nation under manufactured lies who posed no threat to anyone.

Yes, of course, "A president can't formally pardon anyone unless they've been convicted." It was obvious that you were lying when you said Obama "pardoned Bush."

Obviously you can't provide a link supporting your accusation that President Bush has "admitted" to being an "international war criminal." You just made that up by putting words he's never said into his mouth..

Using new lies to cover old lies doesn't work either. No, Obama could NOT have "had him [President Bush] turned over to the Hague." Posting your fantasies as reality is lying.

Your screechy, irrational, dishonest histrionics are fascinating.

Obama pardoned Bush by not pursuing criminal charges against him.

Bush has admitted to authorizing and directing the torture of enemy combatants. Torture of enemy combatants is an international war crime. Thus, Bush is an an admitted international war criminal.

I truly can't state these undeniable facts any clearer.

Poll: Obama’s disapproval rating hits a new high
March 26

Negative views of President Obama have hit a new high, according to a poll.

The AP-GfK poll shows 59 percent of Americans now disapprove of Obama -- a point higher than the previous high set in December.

Obama's approval rating stands at 41 percent. That's the second-lowest figure the poll has ever found.

Part of Obama's problems appear to be related to foreign policy: The poll shows Americans disapprove of his handling of the situation in Ukraine 57-40 and disapprove of how he handles relationships with other countries 58-40.

In January, Americans were evenly split on Obama's diplomacy skills.

Nevada’s Criminal Navigators
March 25, 2014
Records the Division of Insurance didn’t want reviewed have some disturbing revelations.

Nevada’s Division of Insurance must not have wanted consumers to know that at least eight Obamacare navigators it licensed had criminal pasts. National Review and the Las Vegas Review-Journal had to sue the Division to obtain those public records, and navigators’ criminal histories are not the only disturbing fact we discovered.

Half of the navigators who’d had run-ins with the law had failed to disclose it on their applications, despite the requirement to do so — but they received Division approval anyway, the records show.

Among the myriad tactics Republicans are using to sabotage the Affordable Care Act, the GOP attack on so-called Obamacare “navigators” is probably the most ironic. After all, the Bush administration similarly dispensed grants to dozens of community groups, hospitals, universities and non-profits to provide enrollment assistance for the Medicare Part D prescription drug program. And as it turns out, among those recipients of federal dollars from President Bush was—wait for it—ACORN.
Nevertheless, conservative agent provocateur James O’Keefe has added his guerrilla forces to the Republican campaign to discredit, damage and derail the navigator program. While the House GOP majority is investigating the navigators and demanding mountains of documentation to slow down their work, the National Journal reported two weeks ago,“whether by fees, background checks, tests, extra training, certifications, threats of civil penalties, or delays, Republican legislatures and officials in at least 17 states across the country have thrown up all manner of bureaucratic roadblocks in front of the program.” And now, the National Review’s John Fund is happy to announce, James O’Keefe has turned to the same covert action and disinformation techniques against the navigators he used to destroy ACORN.
The events of O’Keefe’s video of a Texas navigator site run by the National Urban League are a familiar sight to viewers of his past efforts exposing Medicaid and voter fraud. Government-paid workers supposedly trained to uphold the law advise clients on how to lie on government forms, evade legal requirements, and ignore proper procedures.
If the GOP effort to negate the navigators seems vicious and cynical, it should. When President Bush launched his unfunded $400 billion Medicare Part D prescription drug program in 2004, his administration didn't just spend millions of dollars on television advertising, just like the Obama Department of Health and Human and Services is doing now. As it turns, the Medicare drug benefit passed by Republican majorities in Congress similarly relied on "navigators" to get the word out and get American seniors signed up.

Harry Reid: People Aren’t Educated on How to Use the Internet
March 26, 2014

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.”

Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months.

Huh? Wow. It must be raining idiocy on Planet Teabag this morning.

One more time.

Bush committed a documented international war crime by authorizing and directing the torture of enemy combatants.

Bush has admitted to doing this many times.

Bush is an admitted international war criminal.

Obama directed the DOJ to grant him immunity for these crimes, hence, a pardon.
