Dr. Karr hasn't been at Ohio Valley Physicians since October. He moved to Alabama. There are now two doctors there, Dr. Hess and Dr. Shy. I've not been to either yet, so don't know how they are, but they come highly recommended by Dr. Karr, so let's pray they'll be good for the area.

You might want to check to see if they still do the program, or at least check to see who's in charge now. I know that this was a passion of Dr. Karr's, to help people get off drugs. I hope they're still continuing.

This thread is too funny. "Does anybody know if (this certain place) prescribes (drugs)?. And then someone says it was always a "passion of (the person who was asked about originally) to help people get OFF drugs". The OP is wanting to be reassured that they will still get a snortable substance. Duhhhh!! I heard if u r pregnant, they will no longer give u any narcotics or hard drugs of any kind. Why would u force-feed your baby that crap? That poor child has not got the ability to tell u how stupid of an idea you have, so I will. Have some pride! Take my advice, and be thankful only a few people know who you are. Take care of that lil baby. Don't fu¢k around with stupid sh!t!!

LOL Bilingual refers to being able to speak two languages. Sublingual is the correct term, which means "under the tongue". As for the suboxone programs I think they are wonderful if people go for the right reasons. It's too bad that the cost is so great. I know several people who can't afford to pay for the visits so they continue to use illegal drugs. My wish is that the government would come up with some grant money to assist people with the cost. It would be beneficial to the community to do so, as it wld help more people clean up and get their lives on track. Good luck to u and keep up the good work!!!

Well u know in my eyes every drug addict cld afford it, well most of them, just think they go out an scrape up 120-140 dollars a day for an opana 40 that's a dr visit right there. The only downer is the medicine which costs like 400+ last time I checked. Some ppl cld afford it as much effort they put into getting money for their habit. It's just they don't get the buzz their after with suboxone!

Subutex is not FOR pregnant women its a pregnancy category C if you don't know what that means then look it up. How about you stay off the drugs or don't have children. It is known that buprenorphine ( generic name of subutex) passes through the placenta to the developing fetus. Thus, chronic use of buprenorphine during pregnancy may cause the baby to become dependent on the drug. Because the baby is no longer getting the medication (via the mother) after birth, narcotic withdrawal symptoms may occur. This will occur even if the mother breastfeeds, as the baby would receive less of the drug through breast milk than it received during pregnancy. Now I'm sure you druggies know what withdrawal feels like so why would you want to put a newborn baby through that?! An to think some people want children so bad and can't have them an you all are worried about whether you can get a drug!

It doesn't matter where you look up the information the drug remains a pregnancy category C. Meaning in this instance that the drug was tested on pregnant animals and had negative side effects on the offspring. Contrary to what some idiots believe a drug can pass through the placenta into your unborn child. Ask any ob/gyn and I assure you they will tell you the same exact thing. Also there is no website that has a pleasant view on taking this drug while pregnant if you find one feel free to post it so no it's not a matter of taking the most negative article. Research is a wonderful thing broaden your minds a bit and learn things outside of your current understanding.

She is under the care of a doctor who is well aware that she is pregnant. Subutex is much safer for her baby than whatever drug she was addicted to.

Why don't u just google it like I did and start reading different sites. U kno what I cld care less what u say. I'm on a quarter of subutex a day, I weened myself down, and I don't need someone like u that has never been addicted to anything in their life telling me what is best for me or my baby. Ur just another narrow minded know it all that thinks whatever goes through that better than thou brain of urs is what's best for everyone. Well guess what honey not all of us live n a perfect world and has had a perfect life so get over urself already and shut up! Why don't I take some of ur time u spend preaching on here and look up pregnancy and subutex and u will see that there are women who have delivered perfectly healthy babies, unless u just want to argue, whatever is up ur @ss idc bc I'm through with u. This post didn't ask for u to get on here and preach UR gospel it asked a simple question so buh bye beotch!
