This forum is a trash sight. Not one word about the shooting in Conn. How could anyone do this to our children? I don't like to send my child because of this kind of thing that's happening everywhere. Can you imagine being one of the parents waiting to see if your child was gonna come out of that school or not. Then someone comes out and says there are no more children. I would die. I could'nt bare to lose a child. God be with these folks as they go through the torture of burrying a child. Give them strength Lord.Give them some kind of peace.

Because people are not comfortable talking about this stuff. I heard "gun control" 4 times by my 1st cup o coffee. People do not treat each other very nice and the ones who don't pick on others won't say a thing about it. Why little kids like that? We all ask and I guess deep down he really is some worthless mofo, a coward.

I just don't understand how you can start out saying something so negative about this site and then proceed with such a heart wrenching story, but Praise be to God, you did.

Yes, it is just too terrible for me to ever understand who anyone could do this. I have children this age and as I pulled into the parking lot to pick them up yesterday I almost ran into the building, even though I knew they were o.k., to hug them and hold them tight. My older boys, who are in high and middle school, even played board games and hung out with them last night. My oldest said right before he went to bed, "mom, I know we are given Free Will, but I am having trouble with this guys' Free Will allowing him to kill little kids for no reason. Why do you think God allows Free Will to be used like that?" I just said remember Jesus was there holding their little hands and holding them close. If God controlled how people used Free Will then it would be Your Will with Strings Attached. God did not promise or even say we would not suffer even some unspeakable things. He did give you HIS PROMISE that by following HIS TEACHINGS you would be rewarded with eternal life with Him in His Kingdom where we would never again see or suffer such horror. I so hope he and other older children are able to work through these horrors and still Trust that God was and is there with these sweet children, holding them tight and taking them to His Kingdom where they will never again be hurt by another human being. I too pray for the suffering parents and families in Connecticut.

I did'nt mean it like I wrote it. Sorry. It's just that Topix is always talking about someone or something that does'nt hold a candle to reality. You know what I mean, talk about this one and that one.I get angry at God but I know in my heart that it was'nt his will. I could'nt bare to lose my children.Maybe God is taking his Angels home. You know they will all walk with God down Golden Streets and Avenues. I can't understand this yet. I don't know why this young man choose these children unless it had something to do with his mom and her being a teacher. Maybe he was mad at her and did you hear the news say that those guns were registered to her?I What's going on? I can understand home protection but assult rifles and handguns that shoot multiple rounds. So sad this time of year. I lost a good friend last year. Seems like forever!

How do we stop this from happening again?
As sick as it may sound, there are those out there that are going to look at this guy as someone kind of hero. All the attention he has gotten, he caused a major event and everyone and I mean everyone has heard about it.
This may sound almost as crazy as that guy but
how do we turn this around and make it not look so appealing to those types that would follow?

Anyone who could walk in to a school and kill 20 children has to have mental issues !He killed his Mother first I'm sure she tried to stop him and he shot her.I'm all for the right to own guns but we don't need to have assault rifles those are for the military. If someone really want's to kill they will find a way to do it,but the assault rifles just lets them shoot too many times !Ban the assault rifles we don't need those for any reason! My thoughts go out to the parents they are living their worst nightmare possible I can only imagine! So sad.....

Today i'm sure that funeral arrangements are being made. What a sad day for these people. I can't imagine being them. How do you bury a child. I heard all of them were 6& 7,mostly girls. The Pres. cried when he spoke of these children. I remember when my mom lost a son. It was terrible for the whole family.Gods speed!

I for one am glad to see an overwhelming vote at the top says gun laws will fix this, it isn't about guns. Something happened there and it was probably a lot of bullying. People say oh well, there has got to be more. Simple bullying wouldn't do this.

Most people never ever so much as experience an once of rejection in their lives and when you add a lot of it and its bad, people can lose their s***.

When I first joined the Army and entered basic training, that was a huge issue that made new soldiers cry, drop out of the service, go crazy. break down or simply Bitch about, was no one could get over the psychological trauma of boot camp. Most people never experience that. They're sheltered.

Now imagine being a kid and all that happening and those one protect you allow it to happen.

On my first cup of coffee so that might not make sense.

What I was saying is the psychological trauma of bullying is a lot like the shock people experience when they fist make soldiers. Its a way to weed out the weak. Most people never experience that sort of adversity. The only difference is one group are children and the other are adults.

Make sense? lol

There was one man in my training they got rid of before we came to learn about our m16. The big talk was get him out before we get to the rifle training, for very good reason.

Another solder some sort of social worker for the prison system in civilian world. All 9 weeks she went on about how even prisoners were not treated as "bad" as we were. They're prisoners, we're soldiers. Our kids shouldn't be subjected to this type of torture and that's exactly what it is.

I would never allow my kids to experience half the crap I did growing up. I'm OK but I'm a little twisted too. I don't own a gun because too many people make it too tempting. Without a gun you might just stand a chance lmao

Not cool though. As a parent, some of the statements I overhear are just heartbreaking. It really makes you appreciate what I have. I ain't got a lot but I got what and who makes me happy and I feel bad for those who don't have their loves, especially this time a year. Its sad.

You're losing them. Put the spotlight back on gun control. That ought to get people talking again.

The guy had plenty of gun control to have achieved a 27:1 k/d ratio. I'd party with him on call of duty.

Watching the news this morning and listening for some kind of reasoning in the shooting deaths of 20 little children. I was thinking this morning of all the things I don't have for Christmas and while listening it made me understand the greatest gift of all. I still have my son. I worry that I can't provide a Christmas that he wants. He to does'nt know the greatest gift of all. I will be sure to let him know as soon as I can. Time for a change. It's not what did you get me, it's how can I help you. God bless these people today on the first of many funerals. Also lets not forget the adults who put their selves in the line of fire to protect these kids. What a tradegy.

Look around you. People bully and pick on certain people until they hit a live wire and shet hits the proverbial fan. I do not condone the loser's actions, just telling you what I think happened. You see the shet I've been dealing with on here, happens to me all the time irl here at home. But instead of going out and treating the world like the world has treated me, I just called out my abusers and am still waiting for one of them to man up and go away.
