Let's get it straight. There WERE good kids around Gallia, prior to 1999. That is the year Oxycontin was first introduced to this area. I find no irony that it was first pushed by the big pharmaceutical companies to rural areas only. Government controls the funding, government also controls the people now. That is right. Let's keep them all sedated enough to keep needing that welfare and not want for more. It is pathetic when you live in a city and the drug problem isn't even as bad as it is in Gallia County. Don't even get me started on the Xanax pushing physicians of the area.

News-Flash,to all.there are just as m-a-n-y Adults ,on these Drugs.so please dont just blame the kids,it is no wonder the kids do it they live what they learn.yes the doctors need to stop also, they claim to know what they are doing,I dont know about that.I do know it to be a fact that you can go to your appointment for a reason lets say real pain, that doctor will give you somthing for inflamation yet your friend can be called in and down rite LIE to the same doctor and come out with a script for some killer pain pills.makes no sence but very true, and a fact,at that.

All the surrounding areas are over run with druggies, young and adult. They are so brave about it that they meet in foodland parking lot and pass the dope then they leave. The police do nothing. The areas are so poverty stricken and lack things to entertain, and lack job opportunities the depression people feel from having lives with no real futures just an existence contributes some to the drug problem. In the end though it is the individual who is the one to blame for their horrible choice to do drugs not the company that produces the pill. You have to place responsibility in the proper place. Because parents do drugs does not mean children will, my mother is highly racist I am not, brothers do dope I do not, oldest daughter a dope head her sister and I are not. Environment raised in does not ensure the child will or will not do anything. Bad decisions and people's inability to face life and deal with it does. I hear so many people say stupid thing to account for their bad choices. My mommy left and never talk to me again and that's why I hate the world..... Ok and while you are living a crap hole existence mommy dearest is living it up and this gets you what???? A stranger touched my private parts now I am a child molester because of it..... Ummm no, you are a product of bad decisions on your part and you fail to accept responsibility for your actions. It's easier for people to blame someone or something else rather than accept responsibility for their actions. Someone close to me died so I use drugs to make me feel human again... People for eons have had loved ones die and becoming a druggie hardly does their memory justice and you sink into a pit. Plain and simple it's the people's fault not companies. Bad decisions can mess you up. Get you family and get out while you can people move to new state!!!

Anti-drug crusaders and concerned parents nationwide are expressing deep gratitude to Rico The Rad Rhino, a rapping cartoon spokesbeast who ended the nation's teen drug problem with a televised PSA Saturday. "When somebody passes some drugs my way, I'm playin' it cool and sayin','No way, Josť!'" Rico told America's youth in a 30-second spot that aired at 10 a.m. EST during "Dancing With The Stars and "Teen Mom." By that afternoon, the percentage of U.S. teenagers who described themselves as "periodic to regular" drug users fell from 47 to 0. "This whimsical costumed spokesbeast, with his backwards baseball cap and firm grasp of teen slang, has singlehandedly convinced America's youth that drugs are for major turkeys, or, in the case of dope, dopes," said Beth Healy, director of Project Say No, the nonprofit organization that produced the spot. "He has succeeded in sending the message that abstinence from illegal drugs is way awesome."

Lack of opportunity, entertainment and employment is not an excuse to use drugs. People seem to be looking for excuses. I have been fighting a chronic illness (that can be very painful) for many years, yet I am employed and do not take narcotics. I don't think I'm better than anyone else either, we are all equal in the eyes of God. I credit my faith for helping me to overcome obstacles. I think many people are searching for peace, and turn to the wrong things. I also think that people give in to peer pressure and do drugs just because they think it is cool. I have compassion for people who are addicted, but you can't help someone who refuses to help themselves. I might add that I have a real problem with people who steal to feed their addiction. Most people work very hard for what they have and it makes me very angry that other people think its ok just to take it. We've been the victims of theft and we know that it was someone who stole our property so they could get their fix. I know there is no easy solutiong to the drug problem but we have to stop making excuses for people. They are the ones who made the choice to start using drugs and sadly they have to deal with the consequences. But even sadder to me is the fact the their families are destroyed and society in general has to deal with the theft and violence.

Here is an idea for those that can't find a job, blame the government (that most likely is your source of income, i.e.... me!!!). If it's so freaking bad where you live... MOVE to where you can provide for your family. If instead you choose getting high I have no sympathy. My hometown needs to stand up at some point and get the drugs out!

the adults around here that are into the pills more than the kids and the adults are the ones bringing in all the other drugs so if the adults would stop the shit then there wouldn't be drugs in gallia co.to to corrupt our kids. yes I'm right because how many 14-17 (kids) year olds drive to another state and can pickup a load of drugs and bring it back here or a dealer send drugs here by a kid? correct! Adults need to get their asses in gear and correct their mistakes/faults!
shes cool
