Your news crew and show kills me you will put up a story about dogs living in bad condiions but you turn a blind eye to nashville's street people and surronding counies no one speaks for the homeless. Oh yes soup kichens and shelers and shame on all the churches, who also turn their heads while holding ou the collection plate. Sumner couny is a shame it's a way to make money, I use to be a cruly investigator. But I saw how corrupt the shelters are and money that has been embezzeled by bad employee's where is the love for humans dogs mean more than a child a out of work family and where are the people so eager to help the dogs they don't care sorry you follow such news when all you have to do is think about starving families by looking in nashville communities I don't watch your news it's not news worthy till you show people helping each other in these terrible times glad to know those dogs will be feed thanks sumner county to bad your people won't be as lucky as the dog.

I think you guys do a fine job. I refuse to watch any other news cast. I feel that the community does it share to help EVERYBODY including animals that need helping they dont have a voice. The homeless have a voice. Keep up the GOOD WORK!!!!!

As a nurse, I feel as though I definitely do my part to help people in the community whether it is by donating my time or just a few dollars here and there. With that being said, in reponse to the post by Kahy Holland, I feel that some people need to help themselves. These animals are helpless. I have always been told that people who want to work will always find a job, it may not be President or CEO but it is an honest days work for an honest days pay. Not to get on my soapbox, but I have 4 rental units and right now there are 2 of those units with tenants who are living off the govt., i.e. me and my family and would not work as a taster in a pie factory for $12/hour, but back to my original thought, I am also an animal lover and appalled that animals are being treated this way. What in the world is wrong with people?! I wish I could adopt all of these animals. Please remember to spay or neuter your pet, this will help more than anything.

Newschannel5 - please continue to report all cases of animal cruelty - and also the problem of child abuse, etc......I'm tired of hearing about homeless people, though, they're on the streets because they want to be there, Ms. Holland - Why don't you start a "Homeless Gazette" and see who buys it - nobody.

Ms Holland, you make me sick. What have you done to help anyone or anything? There are many social agencies assisting homeless persons and I seriously doubt you volunteer at any of them. As for these dogs, thank God they are out of this den of death and despair. And as for the comment by the neighbor, take a look at the Mastiff in the photo. Is he/she fat and happy? You need some eyeglasses and an examination by a shrink!

As a Minnesotan fighting puppy mills for over 4 years in our state, I absolutely commend the forthright initiative that your Sherriff took in raiding these absolutely brutal and inhumane facilities. I wish ALL county sherriffs, especially in Minnesota, had the courage and moral principles of these wonderful folks. Minnesota is sorely lagging behind Tennessee!

THANK anyone or everyone who wants to talk about or spend time working on the puppy and kitty mill issue. The time is long overdue, and ms fussy butt
KAHAY should be glad for it, because the less tax
money spent on animal control and animal euthanazia of surplus, overbred, puppy mill sourced animals there would be more money in budgets for other "needy" issues. But I for one
agree that animals don't have choices, are bred by
animal pimps to make money in perpetual servitude
and only get out when they are killed of thrown
to the side. Its time that ended and thank
the enforcement folks in Nashville for taking this seriously!! GO NASHVILLE and OPRAH!!!

All people should be nervous of the big brother power that seems to be lurking. What apened to due process? Seems as soon as they make a feeble attempt at a bust they can't wait to confiscate and even before trial adoption. Ridiculous
I think the news should also show how this woman has taken in dogs others were going to put to death..and spent thousands on rehab for them. This dear folks is a situation where the person on hard times..but continued to house and feed an look after her animals.Let animal rights nut cases start goin gafter the folks who let their dogs run lose, getting hit on hwy 52 daily.Or perhaps our police can focus on some of the meth cooking locations and our poor reputation as lil drug capital, rather then stealing someone elses dogs,

I pray that all those who dare to take advantage of NATURE, get treated the same way--NATURE WILL NOT FORGET!!! All those who mistreat these animals should be sentenced in the same fashion as what they do when they abuse these animals-- lock them in CAGES for a limited amount of time, and give them just enough food and water to survive day after day until they get the point!! Then there should be a school to send them to within the prison system to UPGRADE THEIR STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS until they are truly rehabilitated!!

What an arrogant ass you are. Just because a person cannot spell means they have no say? Well hear this...kiech my ask. Even though misspelled, I think you get the point.

Wow, cruel words even in a place where we should be expressing gratitude for those who rescue the helpless. I am VERY thankful for every rescue effort on behalf of animal or human. I think pictures speak the truth. What I see is a starving animal. Every private home who breeds their pet, every professional breeder of ANY sort, and those who think the world needs another liter of "healthy" dogs should take notice. There are millions who die every year without homes. We don't need another liter of ANY SORT.

This is a load of crap. I'm sorry but Brittney Bergez treats her dogs better than most treat their children. There was ONE sick dog, a rescue that she was nursing back to health.
What is happening to her and other breeders in Sumner county is nothing less than a witch hunt!

The only cruelty in this case was the removal of animals from a home where they were well cared for and loved.

Please put the woman who took EXCELLENT CARE of these dogs in jail with no food, water, heat or air? Shame on animal control for removing well cared for animals. Shame on channel 5 for falsely reporting their condition and shame on all the people who believe the lies!

Hopefully, these poor animals will be back with the woman who lovingly cared for them, not adopted out!

Shame on anyone who has anything negative to say about this rescue. This is not a case of let's pick on this poor woman. This is a case of abuse and cruelty to animals. If her heart is in the right place then she'll agree that these poor helpless souls will be best with someone who is capable of truly loving and caring for them.
These animals should NOT go back with this woman. She knows in her heart that she was neglecting them... Now let's move forward and help another good cause.... God Bless All Those In Need Today!
